Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar San Diego released the official trailer for a sequel of sorts to their 2004 western Red Dead Revolver. Those of you who didn't play it seriously did yourselves a huge disservice because, while it wasn't the most graphically polished (or well-controled, for that matter) game that Rockstar has ever made, it more than made up for it in its Western setting, wonderful score by Ennio Moroconne and amazing story.

Now we're looking down the barrel of another Rockstar caliber game that I hope surpasses the original in every way and I'm damn stoked in anticipation for it.

Trailer and downloads at Rockstar website.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Morricone did the score for Red Dead Revolver? As in an original score? Damn...that does make me regret missing it...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I actually don't think it was an original score just for the game but I know he's in the credits for the soundtrack.

How ya doing, buddy?

The original "stole" tracks from all sorts of westerns. The one playing in the city is from They Call me Trinity, for example.

Aw...oh well, wouldn't mind having his music in a game anyway. I remember seeing all the trailers when that came out and really wanting to play it and just not getting around to it. I really like how they incorporate the whole quickdraw thing into games. Maybe this is just me speaking as a giant western nerd.

But I heard with the original there were some problems but Rockstar (generally) does a pretty good job of taking these on board and making it better round 2. Have any gameplay details been released yet or is it only that trailer now?

I was speaking idiomatically.

This sure does look good! I didn't play the first one and I'll have to correct that mistake soon because it look really good too!

I just hope I can find it somewhere lol.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
