Assassin's Creed samples
I figured I may as well start a music-discussion about the game rather than carry it on in the gaming discussion, but for those who didn't know, two samples have been posted up over at IGN, and I think they're great.
I enjoyed Jesper Kyd's work for the Hitman series, and he seems to have succeeded here too. IGN: Assassin's Creed MP3 Download - Click the image to listen And the article with another track - IGN: Assassin's Creed Sounds Off The second track has quite a LOTRish feel towards the end, particularly around the 1:50 - 2:20 mark which I really like. I'm not keen on the use of piano though, I don't feel it fits in at all What do others think? So far the comments i've read arn't too into it Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I bashed it in an earlier post, but I listened to it a couple of times again today, and it's actually quite ethereal. Th emphasis here isn't really on the beat or the song itself but on the context of the situation of the game, (walking around Jerusalem) which is probably why it's really repetitive. And yes, I hate the piano.
There were 3 other tracks released, I believe, on 'The Artifact' which is a preorder bonus on the US/EU media disk. Can anyone who preordered it give access? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
