My friend had actually lent me this CD a while ago. At first, I wasn't too interested at all, but after a couple listens, I really started to enjoy it. My favorite songs include, "All Coming Back" (although I still don't like the beginning), "Beautiful Secrets," "Always Worth It," "At Your Best," "Perfect Now," and "Sweet November." Anyways, I've been listening to that album for a while. It's awesome! I really love Blasko's voice. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Props on that Cunninglynguists upload. Now to follow up on the proper hip-hop propaganda I give you guys 3 quite different hip-hop masterpieces. The first, a shining jewel of hip-hop and latin beats, the second, a more mainstream hip-hop album that's still not quite as listened as we'd like and the third, a dark slice of life hailing from the streets of Harlem NY.
You hip-hop heads will love them. Trust me on this. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Since I said I would like....6 months ago...I uploaded my two Cloroform albums (DeconStructed and All-Scars. They're quite good, and I hope some of you will check them out at least! I only uploaded their old stuff, because the newer albums are a bit different from where they came from. Still good -- but a different kind of good.
Anyhow, enjoy (please!). EDIT:: Merv, that Jackdaw is really awesome! Although my interest in celtic rock/punk has waned over the last couple years, I still enjoy hearing new bands in that vein. And Encephalon, thanks for the Ozomatli. It's quite wonderful . Eleo did not gay up the thread, he made it even better! Piazzolla is one of the best things to happen to modern classical music, and Bari sax is SEX. Thanks for uploading it (esp. to your own webspace)! This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Just uploaded four Cave In albums. I wrote a nice little description of the band's musical career and then provided AMG reviews of each. All of them are worth checking out!
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

I got around to uploading a speedcore album (about fucking time K) conviently placed in this spoiler tag:
Spoiler:
I feel like posting it here because I dont feel like I did the album justice by the shitty review (so I suppose its up for grabs for whoever wants to review it). What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

He described it as "rather psychadelic" and agreed that it had an "organic, natural flow". I'm giving him a little more time, until

Uploaded some VGM, the Drag-On Dragoon soundtracks.
Jesus Christ, this shit is creepy. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |
I'll be upping Into Eternity as soon as I get it ripped, and I'll probably also put up the Dredg album Leitmotif, since it didn't make it with the others when they were put up.
I was considering Hurt, as well. They're not on the radio yet, but they're not totally obscure, either, and the similarities to Tool will earn them a few fans around here, I think. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Just uploaded a great world/techno disc for you guys. It's a CD known as Serart. Click for my overview and the download link!

For those of you who were asking for it, I finally posted those Belle & Sebastian albums I'd been talking about.
I think I'm going to upload some Stereolab next. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I just put up three albums by Scott Walker. He started out doing these great twisted operatic pop numbers in the sixties, real strange stuff. Imagine Pavarotti singing about opium dens to a Morricone score. He drifted into obscurity after his 1986 album Climate Of Hunter, but came back with a bang with 1995's Tilt, a real brainfuck of a record. Critics hailed it as musical genius or denounced it as garbage. It didn't sell amazingly, but that was nothing new for Walker. He released the follow up to Tilt, titled The Drift, last week after 11 years. On one track, the percussion is him punching a slab of meat. And his voice is still in great shape. Definitely check it out.
Double Post: Also, just put up a bunch of punk records. I was speaking idiomatically.

I just uploaded four muse albums, for anyone who's interested. they probably aren't in need of that much exposure since they do get radio play and probably some MTV2 play as well, but I figured it can't hurt to upload them anyways.

I was thinking about uploading some Billy Price albums. He's a local celebrity, so I figure I may as well enlighten the bunch of you to some real PITTSBURGH music. Coming soon!
All Music Link! [Apparently Pittsburgh is the doo-wop capital of AMERICA!] How ya doing, buddy?
