FireWall Blocking
Me and my girl is having a problem with her laptop...we disabled all firewalls and everything and for some reason her limewire will not connect and also her TerraIM won't connect probably do to the Firewall also.
We stopped the windows firewall through the services from msconfig and also uninstalled windows defender and all that...we put in spybot, AVG and also ccleaner but nothing changed...her limewire or TerraIM still will not work... Is there any other way to see what is going on? Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Stopping the Windows Firewall service isn't a good idea as it's required for other network services to function properly. Set it back to "Automatic".
What firewall is she running? Are you connected to a router? If so, are her ports forwarded properly? Also, are you getting internet from a college or university? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
