Parkour

:ninja: What do you think about Parkour? Is it awesome? Do you hate it? Is it an excuse for grown men to spaz out in a children's playground? Or is it the best freak'in sport in the damn world?

I think it's freak'in awesome!!! I mean I've been practiccing it myself at different places around my old neighborhood. It's straight ninja shit!!! I was jumping over fountains in the wealthy district of the city, jumping out of the 2nd floor window of my highschool, I mastered the wall run, climbing parking garages, jumping cars, EVERYTHING!!!! It's freak'in fun as hell. Unless you suck. I mean when I started out I sucked but now I'm the shit. I'm not gonna lie to you I'AM THE SHIT!!!!. I've had attractive females walk up to me and tell me I was THE SHIT!!! Thank you Sebastien Foucan you have given my life excitement.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Obviously I cannot fathom this thread because you are just TOO MUCH OF THE SHIT for me to handle.

Can't really help with you two of your questions, but this might help for your second question.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour

and there is videos and stuff here: http://www.parkour.net/

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So I just watched some parkour on Youtube. HOLY FUCK THAT REALLY IS THE SHIT!

Seriously that stuff is amazing and totally full fisted in every way. I can only endorse this extreme activity.

I had an awesome video of me jumping over stuff and doing all sorts of cool flips and stuff. The kind of stuff that only I could do because I'm the greatest. Well anyway. My videocamera is in Florida with my mom so I can't get to it now. But when I get my hands on it I'll post it so you can all bare witness to my awesomeness. The awesomeness that is Æ Ninja Æ Version. 2.

My cousin in Santa Barbara can't stop raving about this makeshift sport when I go down there. I've seen him hurdle fences and climb parking garages with relative ease. He admittedly isn't the best there is but he says it's fun to get around Isla Vista, where cars are pretty much useless since no one actually drives in town.

I personally don't care much for it but that's probably due to the fact that I'm in NO shape to be hurdling tall buildings in a single bound. However, to those who I've seen doing this shit; much props. It takes a lot of agility to do this.

Gosh, and he's modest too!

Holy shit. That shit's deffinetly worth some time. Man i totally could be doing that if i had started earlier. I've been doing minor shit like that since i was like 12. I i had known there was actually a sport involving that kind of thing, i'd've hopped on.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

If I wasn't so terrfied of flips and somersaults of any sort, I'd be totally into this. Yeah I've been doing minor shit like this for a while. Like this one time at High school I was dared to run through the library, out the emergency exit, across the veranda over the railing over a 3 storey drop and land in the bushes (one story drop)

I did it and felt more extreme then than any otehr time in my life. The jump over the 3 storey drop was the scariest thing but turned out to not be as bad as I feared, cleard it easily. Coming down into the bush was harder than expected though. And after all that, I got in trouble for exiting through the emergency door.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I love the idea of Parkour, and the people who are really good at it? Holy damn. Seriously, it's amazing.

I practice it on a smaller level: I almost always take a more difficult route around, jumping up on stuff, climbing over walls, that sort of thing. Even before I found out about Parkour, that was the way I liked to get around. I've never dedicated myself to it, but I'd like to sometime soon, practice a little more heavily.

But yeah, definitely an awesome pursuit. I'd really like to learn some of their techniques, too. Some stuff I feel as though I could do, that I just don't have a clear idea of how to pull it off.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I like to play on the playground with the little kids. They are so small and gentle. I love them, and I would never ever hurt them.

I never knew this was an actual thing or had a name. If I'm bored and have some energy to kill, I'll jump around on things, but I've never just gone all out and tried to run and jump on everything. I have a massive urge to try it right now, though.

How ya doing, buddy?

Parkour or FreeRunning (I think thats another name for it) is totally awesome. I havent ever practiced this stuff, but i do jump around on stuff sometimes. I did this one cool thing where i planted off a wall and grabbed a support beam for a basketball goal. I was cool.

Parkour is cool, but it's a matter of who has more guts really....

who backflips off the highest building? who makes it over the 30 ft gap...

The risks involved is not a good trade-off imo for the high you get or chicks loving you...

Martial Arts Tricking is a much cooler sport.

Better moves, more techniques involved, and a reasonable amount of risk.

Here's a vid of someone well known in the Martial Arts Tricking community
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKVgpJRuPqg

Just wanted to expose you guys to it cuz people who are interested in Parkour might find better interest in Martial Arts Tricking, and vice versa.

That martial arts tricking reminds me quite a bit of wushu, crazy stuff all together.
