Stop Firefox from playing music
When I visit certain sites which have music embedded in them(like hell.oddforums' ban page) it automatically plays music. Is there any way that I can have control over this, or even prevent it from playing music altogether?
I'm running the most recent release of Firefox. Thanks Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Adblock Plus can be convenient for blocking embedded content.
Also lol for Hell (It is a forum). There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Sweet. Thanks.
I'm trying to configure this thing now, and I seem to be running into a problem of filter authoring. I want flash files(thats what plays the music) on that site alone to be blocked; so I know that I can use: Code:
swf| Do you know how I could add in this filter option: Code:
|hell.oddwebsite.com could this be done as follows?: Code:
|hell.oddwebsite.com*swf| This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'd do just hell.oddwebsite.com/*.swf or wherever the swf's are stored (some of them come from zanno.oddwebsite.com)
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Ah, excellent. Thanks a lot.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
It works for embedded MIDI, but it mught work for flash as well if you just Press Esc.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
