HAY GUYS

Alright, so I've recently upgraded my computer. But I think I bought the wrong type of processor, I'm trying to get a good gaming system going. Anyway I picked up a 3.2Ghz Celeron D, and I think that was a mistake. So, I'm asking if you guys know that the Celeron D is crap for gaming and I should find something different?

You're going to have to give up specific details of your current hardware (motherboard model, RAM type) before we can really help you. If the Celeron D was an upgrade, then I'm curious about that you upgraded from! :|

The Celeron D wasn't really an upgrade, more like a stupid choice. I'm basically looking for a good 775 CPU for under or around 200$

I'm not much for describing my specs. But the other two things I upgrade was my Graphics Card from a GeForce FX 5200 to a GeForce 6200, and 1gig ram to 2 gig. I'm alright with upgraded easy stuff, but when it gets more technical i'm mostly nub

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you're using that computer mostly for gaming, it would have been better to spend the money on a better video card than another gigabyte of RAM.

I agree with this totally. You won't get far with a Geforce 6200. A 7xxx series card would be desirable.

For a CPU, I'd recommend the E6300 Core2 Duo CPU. However, you need to find out if your motherboard is compatible with this chip. It is Socket 775, but that doesn't mean it will work with your board. (Look for "Conroe" compatibility.)

Alright, I'll check up with the compatibility thing and yeah, though the 6200 wasn't much of an upgrade. It made a serious difference compared to what i was looking at. And Yeah, I've already found a 512 card I'm going to be getting think it was a 7600. And if I'm not compatible with your CPU suggestion I'll go off that to find another one.
