OMG A TEXTBOOK WITH IT? A TEXTBOOK? IN ENGLISH?
Okay, I'm ordering. EDIT: On second thought, I'll see what Q has to say first, then I'll make my decision. But the regular edition is for sure a go.

A bit from Amazon's description:
Quote:
DVD Features:
Available Subtitles: English
Available Audio Tracks: Japanese (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (Dolby Digital 5.1)
Trailer and TV commercials
Special Limited Edition is a numbered collector's edition limited to only 10,000
Bonus disc with "Making of Patlabor the Movie"
"Patlabor the Movie: Archives" 184-page book with essays, interviews and art
"Patlabor the Movie: Storyboards" 300-page book, with English translations
(And I still have those 1/35 MG kits, this is awesome).

I think this is the cover for the regular edition. I really don't like it:

You can tell that's the Bandai MG kit they used. I already recognize Alphonse's head and that's EXACTLY the same mold as the kit, plus the visor is the ambient green.

How ya doing, buddy?

It's as if you've ignored every single picture and content description of the Limited Edition that's been posted so far, and are just now noticing them =/

That there's the original storyboard and a second book with interviews and articles was already apparent in the link Pyocola posted here.

I guess I just "overlooked" the LE. Will you be as so nice to scan ALL 300 pages of your book for GFF's enjoyment. ;_;

I think I just pulled an "Osaka". ()

Well, I ended up ordering the LE from Axel Music. Price is almost the full $90 (I had a coupon for $12 from previous purchases though) but it's guaranteed customs-free within the EU and since they have a scan of the back I think they have it in stock and will ship it on Monday. I thought about Amazon or DVD Pacific, but with a heavy package like that I'd get hit by customs for sure and end up paying even more.

About the manga, how do you want it? Is there a good FTP or something where I could upload it to? Or should I just zip the volumes individually and use rapidshare or something?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Rapidshare is nice enough, thank you. How many MB is this whole thing? I was wondering maybe through email since my gmail account can handle *some* heavy files. Perhaps if you broke them up into 10 MB files or something. I'm guessing its about 200 MB in total? I'm guessing here.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

No, the whole series is around 1GB (also already mentioned .) I think I'll split it with two volumes in each archive, then it'll fit nicely within rapidshare's 100MB/file limit.

Here's the first zip:

[Yuuki Masami] Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor - Volume 01-02

This is my first time uploading to rapidshare so let me know if it works and I can upload the rest over the next couple of days.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Link works fine for me, thanks a bunch <3

If they do ship the movie on time at Axel Music, I'll be getting mine pretty late when compared, but I'd be saving around 20 euros or so, so I don't mind. I might use them when buying the second movie, if they'll have it in stock.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm guessing all you guys have are the regular accounts where you either wait 30 seconds or for infinity to get like a 1 MB file from all those "MOAR SAUCE PLZ" links in 4chan. You do visit it, right? But it's better than nothing.

Waiting a minute for 100MB is not that bad is it?

Here's the next part:

I use rapid share like what, once every week whenever I'm on 4chan getting doujins and shit.

Okay, yeah I clicked on it before, but I didn't get to download. Usually rapidshare behaves nicely. >_>

That's ridiculous. 65 seconds for me at maximum. The download time is a different matter, of course.

Woohoo, manga zips! As a mecha fan in general, i've been wanting to get into Patlabor for a long time now, but have never managed to get my hands on any files. Thank you much.

Maybe I'll actually be able to understand what you are all talking about in this thread now. Of course, I'll probably be struggling with the Japanese even more than Pyocola, so maybe not.

Wow, I just got a 15 minute wait for the 9-10 pack.

The big clue is in the line above, though.

Quote:
You have downloaded 101834 KB. Want to download more?
I guess it starts picking on you when you go over 100MB. Dunno if it resets after 24 hours or so, but so far I've been getting a pack per day, so now that I'm trying to get more on such short notice, the place deems me greedy.

Pyocola, I'm thinking you may have to reupload some of the later packs if rapidshare only hosts them for a few days.

I really appreciate you uploading them at all, though. Thankies <3
I also noticed I have a bunch of Akemi Takada artbooks, if you're missing any. (no books 4 u, spat)

In my experience, it's been that when you download more than 30MB or something like that, they cut you off and you have to wait a while before you're allowed to download again. Usually it's around an hour, so you could probably get a couple of packs per day. According to rapidshare the files are deleted 30 days after no downloads, so they should be fine for now.

And I would be interested in any Takada artbooks with Patlabor art in them (haven't seen KOR or anything else she's worked on so I have no real need for those, yet.)

Anybody got their Limited Edition yet? I went to check if mine was still set to ship on the 30th and noticed Amazon raised the price to $80.99. Mine will still ship for $62.99 so I'm glad I didn't wait around to order it.

They're apparently preparing it for shipment, so hopefully that means no hitches along the way~

Just wait an hour or so and Rapidshare will let you download the rest. Or maybe we can convince Moon to host this on his webspace...

Also, I need some help answering some Patlabor questions..
