Assassin's Creed

Yup this is the offcial name of Project Assassins.

http://www.assassinscreed.com/

Concept art looks freakin cool, i am guessing the game will have same graphicsor close.
Check Teaser on newly opened site.
This game is one to look forward too, Jerusalem 12th century setting.

Developers: Montral studios,who brought PoP.

I think this game centres on Hashashins if anyone know who they were.
Emerged in era of crusades.
Now called ismailis a muslim sect which has nothing to with muslims not even now.

http://ftp.ubi.com/uk/assassinscreed/conceptart/

some info i got from ubi forums
Soqu al-Hamidiyya serves as a trade center for Saladin’s ever-expanding empire. Its most prominent feature is a hand-crafted tin roof designed to guard against the elements and protect its precious wares.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Don't want to brag, just pump up the excitement, but I work there and I saw what they're doing and let me tell you, it's gonna have the same impact that SANDS OF TIMES had for Adventure games when it first came out. This game looks too good to be true.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3150167

Moved.

The setting is certainly interesting, but we'll have to wait and see just how maturely or immaturely the team is going to handle the subject matter.

If I wanted to be overly cynical, it seems indistinguishable from Two Thrones so far in terms of visual thematics, apart from the presence of British knights instead of fantasy monsters (though it's pretty guaranteed those will feature as well).

Wow. Okay, didn't know it was exclusive until now. My contract ended last February and I'm in for another 3 months at Ubi until school starts. It was suppose to be XBOX 360-bound last year. Weird.

And don't worry, the story, since I last saw bits of it is pretty cool, and quite, say, 'psychedelic'.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Sorry, NDA's keeping my mouth shut. You wouldn't know how easy it is for them to retrace me.

I was on WARRIOR WITHIN's test team and one of the guys there talked on GameFaqs about the various levels of the game. Next week, he was fired.

Even if it's for another 3 months of work, I want to keep my job since Art School's coming soon.

I'm just happy about the fact that I won't be on the project so when it's released, I will know as little as possible and I'll fully enjoy it.

Heh, yeah signing those contracts can be a bitch sometimes, just as long as you watch what you say, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Btw, trailer looks hot. I wonder if it'll have some mechanics like thief?

One thing I can say though, which is more of an anecdote is that while working last year, most of the desks around my team was moved elsewhere and the animation team from Project Assassin came right beside us to 'practice' some sword moves.

It was fun watching them goof around with a couple of sticks and a camera.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

They using motion capture or do they just trying to practice for animation?

This looks really cool. Sort of has a slight God of War vibe going, but you know, without the magic and more realistic. Tactical Crusading Action!

they did this with Prince of Persia sand of time, they film themself doing a sword move or something else and they watch it after, and reproduce the mouvement in the game with the character.

o topic, this sure have the PoP feeling to it, but it still look very cool and i can't wait to see actual gameplay footage ^^ In other way it look a little like oblivion too

Don't know, but based on the studios past work, I'd say 100% hand-made animation.

How ya doing, buddy?

I got into an argument (when haven't I?) a while back about motion capture and hand-animation, I kept stressing that motion capture is best for everything, but my friends did bring up good points, and I think we both agreed that a mix of both is usually what's best. Like for example, I heard that shadow of the colossus was all hand animated, horse and all. Dunno if it's true, but if it is, that's some really impressive work.

I prefer Hand Animation but sometimes, like in the MGS series, it's best to use Motion-Cap since animating a scene of dialogue with two characters standing next to each may seem a bit stiff.

I also heard its going to be most realistic game ever ,where you your hero is very lifelike.

Like he cant jump higher thn reallfie,he can climb any wall just not defined walls.
Move over any obstacle as in reallife.

Moreover you can hit NPC while moving in different ways depending on your movement sensitivity.

It looks good on paper lets see if they can pull it off.

If Sony has made it exclusive then there must be something really good about this game.

Yes, but exclusivity now means only one thing; money. The two hardwares, PS3 and XBOX 360 are practically identical, so it's not an hardware issue.

Can't say squat, but all I can say is that I saw test footage for the AI, fight sequences and another unannounced aspect of the game.

As for the story, I know what's been announced plus a certain surprise that hasn't been revealed yet, but watch the very first trailer for the game, back when it was called PROJECT ASSASSIN, there's a hint in there. ;-)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Atleast you can answer, whether they will show ingame footage at E3.

Also one easy question ...are game graphics close to that concept art above in my post.

Don't know if they will show it playable, but they'll surely announce it fully. Don't know the details myself since I only come back to the studio in June.

From what I saw back in January, the faces of the characters are EXTREMELY well-detailed; imagine the link between GEARS OF WAR and MGS4.

Hey, if you ever have some input in the development in the game, just walk in and be like:

"U guyz... totally, like, ... some bad ass musik... k?.... aight, peace"

Then leave, and run back in real quick and continue:

"Oh yeah, and I don't mean like... rap or rock.. I mean like, some bad ass soundtrack music that fits the age and mood, aight peace"

lol.. i'm just kidding, ubi soft has done really good music in the past, but umm.. yeah they did put a lot of rock on PoP2.. which wasn't bad, but if I had to choose one...

Yeah, Stuart Chatwood did the music for the all the POP games and the soundtrack for Warrior Within is still one of the my favorites. The game though is another completely different topic. Argh.

Anyhoo, I stumbled upon some Assassin cue music from various WELL-KNOWN composers in the industry and the vibe they're trying to get is really cool. Each composers did come cues as to what they could contribute to the game and one of them will get picked for the entire project. It's not Rock or Techno music, don't worry. ;-)

By the way, I'm a tester for now, so my input is as important as the guy cleaning the toilets. O_o But after my two years of Art and my year in 3D modeling, that'll be a different story.
