Non-functioning card reader
Alright, this has been a thorn in my side for a while. The computer I have has a 6 card reader, which is connected to the computer from a floppy bay. However, for the past few months, the thing has been on and off, sometimes working, sometimes not. It doesn't show up in the device manager or anywhere else, and I'm having trouble figuring out what to do to get it working again. Anyone have any ideas?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |

usually card readers plug into the computer using the internal USB connection port. Check that the wire is properly seated in both the card and on the motherboard. ( computer off and grounded properly )
If that isn't the problem I suggest that you look at the motherboards manual and see if theres another unused internal USB connection. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
