some crazy speed problem

I change computer recently here the spec again:

Athlon 64 X2 dual core 4200+
2g RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7900GT 256mb
(have the 91.47 driver)

and some not so important thing start to play crazy fast when my computer is on for a while (sometime it's juste 20min)

exemple: I used cursorXP but I stoped because now all cursor animation speed play really fast and it's annoying... I thought at first that it was the program that had problems but I found out that the same problem happen in some of the winamp visualition plugin (like the TripleX one) and they play extremely fast too...

but everything else is fine, like when I play a game or anything I never get that fast speed problem...

could it be that those programs are not compatible with dual core or something?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't remember downloading anything about a dual core optimizer >.>

will it help that problem?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
