Trouble with Gamecube

I'm not sure if I have posted this in the wrong section, but I hope I posted in the right place.

Well basically my Gamecube has trouble running discs. Everytime I turned on the Gamecube, the orange light isn't glowing so the disc doesn't reads. Sometimes it glows for about 30 sec and then it stops. Is there any way to fix this problem or do I have to have Nintendo repair it or buy a new one. Thanks in advance.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'd go call Nintendo. They have excellent customer service.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You should really call Nintendo 'cause when it comes to lens the policy is: "Do everything else first, only then touch the lens."

I was speaking idiomatically.
