Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The game is still slated for a December 3, 2007 release in North America never going to be released. The game is confirmed to be online for 4-player action while a number of other multiplayer options are available.

The Characters:

--- Mario --- ---- Link ---- --- Kirby --- --- Pikachu -- ---- Fox ---- --- Samus -- --- Zelda --- -- Bowser ---

-Donkey Kong --- Yoshi --- -- Peach --- -Ice Climbers-

---- Pit ---- --- Wario ---- Z Suit Samus ---- Ike ---- Poké Trainer- -Diddy Kong - -Meta Knight --- Snake ---

--- Lucas --- --- Sonic --- King Dedede- -Cpt. Olimar-

And now some pretty eye candy.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I've been refreshing the site on and off for the better part of a couple hours now. Hope to see some new information, at the least.

There's also an "interview" floating around where an independent journalist supposedly spoke with someone on the Smash Brothers Brawl Development team. Take it with a grain of salt, as this sort of thing is nothing new on the internet, but here it is:

FYI, Tokyo is 13 hours AHEAD of Eastern Daylight Time, so it's only 12:30AM there. Nothing will be announced for hours, I'm sure.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well the page shows "Starting today" and no other specific countdown has been given. Damn them and their lack of precise time keeping.

I suppose there are a few people out there who could be left unfazed by the fact that it says "Japan Time." Which, as I mentioned, is 13 hours ahead of EDT. (Meaning it's only 3AM Tuesday there.)

Please forgive my ignorance, but who is this character supposed to be?

http://media.wii.ign.com/media/748/7...g_3863219.html

Samus without her helmet/armor?
That chick from Starcraft: Ghost that was cancelled?
Some sort of female Jedi?

Refreshing the smash bros page at 5:05pm AEST... and HOLY SHIT

GO GUYS NOW!!! GO! It's UP!

Double Post: A few new screens, and some more information, but nothing ultra-mind-blowing yet. BUT STILL!
Triple Post: Actually, my bad. Some good information to be found here (musicians, a stage and weekly updates etc.)

Well it just launched. Sadly no new character announcements yet and only one stage revealed so far and it's the generic 3 platforms and a bottomless pit we saw in the beginning of the first trailer, but the list of musicians is very impressive, there's alot of names there I'd never think to see in the credits. The list also suggests the possibility of Killer7, Meteos, Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts etc. characters and stages.

Hopefully next update (if it's ever going to happen) will have some more suprising news.

Site looks cool. They haven't added anything new, but I see there will be constant updates

WTF

Musician list

Also contains an arrangement of the SSBM menu tune; arranged by Sakuraba (=O). I'd be impressed, too bad I'm not terribly fond of the guy.

EDIT: Kuttlas, I believe those are simply mentioning credentials of each composer; I doubt they'll hint torwards anything.

EDIT2: I had the auto refresher on for 9 hours straight.

I am convinced this composer list is a joke. There are more composers here than some games have songs. I see most composers doing one song apiece.

Jesus, this is such a clusterfuck of epic proportions. How is this collection even possible.

Oh well. Arata Iiyoshi, Koji Hayama, Ryoji Yoshitomi, Tomoko Sasaki, and Tsukasa Masuko need more work anyway.

Nintendo's DS printed enough moneys for them to shell out the cash to hire all these composers, that is my guess. Also, the composers and the titles they have been credited with are a good hint at what sort of stuff we can expect in the game.

I mean... Shimomura, Mitsuda, Iwadare, Sakuraba,

Let's not forget the "Ancient" Hero Yuzo Koshiro! This could probably be a sign that will get characters from the ones mentioned on the musicians' list. But I have to agree with ChZ. I don't really want each composer to do just one theme song. You can't really cram 4 composers to their part in a track =/ (Or maybe you can >.>; ). In the end, those were probably minor updates and we haven't seen All of SSMBB just yet. Let's just hope Nintendo gives us a list of awesome characters.

Is it wishful thinking that we could actually get a a game with just orchestrated music?

I suppose that if the sperm are flying around the room simply based on the composer list, the character list should be nothing short of epic.

I dunno. Considering that Brawl is nothing short of EPIC FANBOY GATHERING will there be enough sperm left for all the fanboys to circle-jerk once the game's out?

Apparently we'll be getting daily updates on the weekdays, so the content should be fleshed out over the next couple of weeks.

That said, that composer list is probably not indicative of as much as the writer implies. We have a good idea of already of who is and who isn't going to be in the game, which is why, despite what I've been reading, I'm a little stunned to see the composers for Fire Emblem on that list. Maybe either Roy or Marth will show up in the long run?

Guys, please be logical. Do you honestly believe the composer list is in any way an indication or hint of what characters or themes are to appear in the game?

Also interesting enough that Uematsu, composer of the Main Theme used in the E3 Trailer, is not on the list.

I don't think they'll be keeping Roy or Marth. Perhaps they'll be replaced with newer Fire Emblem characters such as Ike.

Strangely enough, I didn't play on Melee's Battlefield all that much. Here's hoping for a Final Destination stage.
