Nvidia driver installation error

I keep getting this windows logo testing thing (see attachments) when trying to install the drivers of my gfx card. When I click continue anyways, I get another error. After I choose to reboot, it works fine. I never used to get this message/error before, but recently after every time I reformat my computer (other computer problems), I always get this when I try to install the drivers.

Why is it that I get this message/error ? Cause I never used to get it before.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Maybe your driver is screwed? I'd download a new copy from www.nvidia.com and install from that one.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

That's where I'm getting my driver from, from the official site since I don't know how to get a driver any other way.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

What's the exact version of Windows you're using. Is it WinXP home, pro, MCE, or XP 64? Also some driver versions may be screwy or have possibly dropped the 5200 from the compatiblity list (!). If you can point me to the exact version of Windows you're using, I can tell you a rock solid version of the nVidia drivers that I use.

Try this version, it works really well with my PC and is also the last version of the drivers to support older hardware like the GeForce 2 Ti.

might try completely uninstalling current drivers before installing latest ones.

Try downloading DriverCleaner Pro as well; if you follow the directions it provides, you might fix the issue. (Of course, it is a general rule to, at the very least, uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones...)
