[PS3] PlayStation 3 Discussion Thread

I cop'd my ps3 today. 60 gig, new/sealed and hidden somewhere . 2 of them. I didn't bother reading all the posts but I am wondering if the models that we get after the first release are still defects or something. Mine is just laying there collecting dust. Askin what games are out there. I was looking at Genji at least .Anybody play that game yet?

Out of curiousity, Did anyone get a movie with the ps3? I got HD Talledega Nights XD.

I'm trying to update the latest firmware for ps3 using just my memory stick (from the psp) . Where do I put it and in what folder? thanks.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I do have the 60 gig ;p.

Finally the add-on online play for Tekken is out. Anyone dishingout 10 bucks? Super Puzzle Fighter HD Remix is out as well. Im trying out the demo first >.>.

I guess. However, it did keep me and a few friends playing this for an hour. I'll probably buy it . No big deal ;p.

Did anyone try out Folklore yet? It's interesting the way you're able to handle the ps3 controller while gaining souls/powers from a few enemies. The main character Keats looks like a skinny mature version of Lezard and Otacon. Everything else is awesome. unless there's an x-BOT or someone here who likes to bash a ps3 game.

I guess since we live close between ny and nj , we get a better connection. Other than that, I have you on a reserved list so that no one else enters. It's pretty amazing that we can see others play each other live.

I thought online was the only thing they added but they also added a batch of other goodies. The way it should be.

Hey, did anyone update to 1.92? It says that it makes the XMB faster and I do notice it loading quicker than usual. The update also tells us that it fixes a few bugs with the ps1/ps2 compatibility issues.


This concerns me because when I play Marvel vs Capcom 2, etc, I lose sound and when I change the channel to go back to hdmi , No picture shows. I'll probably check a few other ps2 titles because it's getting annoying. I would have to plug out my hdtv cord and then plug it in so it'll go back to normal. So far, no ps1 titles do that. At least not when I play Valkyrie Profile 1 countless times.

That feature's been around for a while now. You gotta have the video on then you press triangle and select "Change Icon" and where you have it set up , it will be that way for 15 seconds only.
