I have recently inherited a "Broken PS3", Meaning it works fine except for reading the actual disks; It shows that it reads the disk but never actually loads the game. It run's everything else, Internet and demos etc...
So, Lack of reset won't allow us to get a "Free Repair" from Sony, Making it cost us 200 Dollars in order to get it repaired. I've read on the Sony Forums of the "Blue Ray Laser" suddenly stop working, Assumably what's happened to me. So any possible way in which I could ressurect the broken PS3 without laying down 200 dollars? If not, I guess i'll have to bite the bullet.
I know it may sound dumb that i'm posting on something that seems un-fixable, But 360 Users have the "Wrap Your Xbox In a Blanket" Method, So it could be up in the air on fixing this faulty disk drive.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
