Opening .PST Files

I need to open some .PST files which are private outlook files and when I open it, it obviously says I do not have access to open them. A few people got laid off at my work, and I need to open these files containing their business contacts because I now have to take over his clients. Any help would be appreciated.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'd ask the IT head first, if he can arrange something. As it IS work related. Alternatively, you could ask the downsized folk for their passwords.

This looks like a job for http://www.lostpassword.com/outlook.htm and I'm sure you can get your company to pay for the $45 license.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I could get the company to buy it, but I was looking for a quick fix without going through all the paperwork etc. I also cannot ask the man who was laid off for access to the files because he deleted all of his contacts and other e-mail to spite the company for laying him off, and this was all the IT guy could salvage from the harddrive.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
