W00t, sweet, with the rebirth of this pair of threads. I'm happy about it.

Now to find new music that you guys haven't heard before... hmm.

How ya doing, buddy?

I updated the Club's Wiki a bit in light of recent events. I think, for my first ever use of the Wiki, I did alright. I even got the links figured out.

The first one is full of duplicate files. And it's only nine tracks... I thought there were fourteen.

Wait, did I redownload that? Wow, I already had that one. I rock at life.

Downloading the others as we speak. KO is so damn awesome.

How ya doing, buddy?

You uploaded Brian Eno? <3 <3 <3

I've been desirous of this for years, Mucknuggle. You have no idea how happy it makes me.

Man, I love this thread. We get so much great stuff in here!

And thanks for the compliments. I just updated it a bit to keep up with the times.

Personally? I think it's alright. It may not be strictly within the bounds of music... but, for further extrapolation on the near-breaking of those rules, please see Iwata for details. :P

Anyway, I think it's cool.

I just uploaded the single most Indie release on the planet. It fits in excellent with the recent stream of Ambient/Noise stuff. Also, the CDs themselves are free, but the guy lives in Florida, so I'm simply saving Burton shipping costs. I rule.

Oh my goodness, Mucknuggle, you're trying to carry over the Haiku from the Legendary Thread into everyday posting.

...5-7-5, sucka. You're got 5-7-6.

I concur on both accounts. We should start a new Sticky Campaign, as well as have one of our resident artists create a logo for the GFF Music Exposure Club. I'd love to see that.

Whatever happened to our idea of Album of the Month, or somesuch? I'd like to see that taken seriously and all - it'd be a great way to promote thread activity and community.

Also, that Brian Eno is the single most minimalist thing I've ever heard outside of some of the Noise that's been put up, but it's nice for going-to-bed music or backgrounds for writing and things like that. It's so very sparse, making continuous use of simple, quiet themes in a strange, pleasantly sterile way. Thanks for that upload.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Plug was indeed a major force behind the success of the original thread. He and Iwata basically teamed up to make sure we had consisten fresh, awesome material. Like those Miles Davis uploads - super! He was a staple of the Club.

I'm getting some more uploads later, and Mucknuggle - I've heard Side A of Ristorante - where has Nujabes been all my life? So very good.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I almost forgot! I uploaded GY!BE's album Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, which I think it their magnum opus (as I describe in the thread). I'll be uploading their album F# A# oo, which was the first thing that I ever contributed. Ah, reminiscing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

10 minutes into Side B. Are you even kidding, this is some of the coolest stuff ever, why lie. I can't wait for more Nujabes uploads, so I can further appreciate the awesome. Thanks again!

You know, it's weird. Whenever I listen to Rap/Hip-Hop, I get very turned off. People are always like "it's about the beat!" and I'm always like "there's more to music than that!" Here I am, listening to Nujabes, just started on Metaphorical Music, and thinking it's acceptable, possibly great music. This dude's doin' something right.

Broadening musical tastes and introducing great new artists since day one: The Music Exposure Club.

Trout Mask Replica... I've heard about this one, and I've wanted to at least try it out to see what it sounds like. It's got quite the reputation, you see. Thanks again, Plug, and welcome back to the club! It's awesome to have you around again!

nabhan is presently my hero. I've wanted to listen to A Silver Mt. Zion, and all of that coupled with some GY!BE I've never seen before makes my night! I also uploaded some more of my own stuff into the thread for all of you to enjoy. I found this band through a friend of mine from high school, who is cousins with the bassist in the band. They're good stuff.

I've got all three EitS albums (prior to their most recent one) that I could upload as well. If you want to coordinate the uploads, send me a PM.

I'm going to listen to Silver Mt. Zion now. I hope you all enjoy Lake Trout as well.

EDIT: Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans now successfully uploaded. Enjoy.

el jacko - Yes, rather. I'd like to actually hear this group, I've heard their names around recently (er, last few months).

Iwata - I can't wait! More weird and intersting stuff.

General ATTN (esp. Capo) - I bought Love - Forever Changes for somebody in real life recently. I'm play MEC to a friend in real life, how cool is that?

He described it as "rather psychadelic" and agreed that it had an "organic, natural flow". I'm giving him a little more time, until Iwata time I ask for more of a response. I work with the guy, I don't get to talk to him much these days.

Who wants the new Thom Yorke? I haven't contributed anything in a while, and while it's relatively mainstream, it's likely that many of you haven't heard it. It's pretty trippy - kind of like adding the quirks of the Singer/Songwriter approach to Electronica. I can't stop listening to it.

It has a much clearer direction, and a wholly unified sound, both of which were rather lacking on Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief, and even Kid A to some extent, though that thing flowed insanely well. It's also weirdly beautiful.
