Stupid question - lazy

Using Nero Vision. Have a 500 MB MPEG-2 video file that is showing itself in all video players as 500 MB, but opens into an over 3 GB file in Nero. Don't want to lose aspect ratio of 16:9. Is their some way to correct this? I want to burn more than just this file on the same DVD. Can I change the video format to something smaller, or is their just something simple I can change in Nero to keep the video size compacted?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Probably not. If I'm not mistaken, the size is more a function of the length of your movie in question than it is anything else.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
