Graphics Card outputting too much brightness.

About two or three weeks ago, while I was playing a my monitor screen spontantiously went bright. Extremely bright. I had no idea what it was, at first I thought it was my monitor, but I know its my GPU. I'm using a GeForce 7900 GS thats less than 1 year old, one of my DVI ports is outputing too much brightness when you plug in a monitor. At first I found a temporary solution by just switching to the other DVI port. Now I have two monitors and the other port is still messed up. I tried fixing the problem by taking out the card and cleaning it (blew off alot of dust) but that didn't help anything. I REALLY don't want to have to mail it in to nVidia for the warrantly service and spend the next 2 months using my built in chipset GPU.. Has anyone ever heard of this, know of a probable solution or a starting place to look for repair tutorials? This type of thing has never happened to me before since its the first graphics card I ever bought, and I have no idea what would have caused such a thing.

Thanks in Advance.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Warranty repair is your best bet. Or a new GFx card. Tell me youve tried different cables...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

My new monitor is an HDTV, I tried using my current original VGA cable and my DVI/HDMI cable, the right DVI port on the card is defective. Instead of mailing it in for the warrantly I sold the card to a friend and bought a new one, a Geforce 8800 GTS OC. Problem is the card won't fit, it requires a vacant space above the PCI express slot which my PC motherboard doesn't have. Now I have another deli ma, find a new motherboard and tower.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
