Ar Tonelico Reprint - As long as it's you, I can take the pain...

YouTube Video

For the two people who are probably interested in this game but never had a chance to play it NISA is doing a reprint of the game and selling it for 20 dollars. It doesn't come in the box with an artbook like when it was first released but you still get the music CD in a paper sleeve.

PREORDER NOW! - Ar tonelico™: Melody of Elemia

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Nice. This also further supports that the second game may eventually be released by NISA.

This is pretty tempting, but didn't it have quite a few problems that have been fixed in Ar Tonelico 2? I gave up on looking for the first game since the second sounded much better. The one I recall being a dealbreaker was something about having lots of choices, yet your responses never actually mattered. Still, if there are more scenes like that Youtube video the hilarity alone warrants a purchase.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

AT1 is an excellent game even with its flaws. And if AT2 comes out and you are planning on getting it then you are going to want to play AT1. The games do sit on their own but they are all still part of a planned trilogy and you are going to get a much better experience out of AT2 if you had previously played AT1.

Hell if you like RPGs there is no way you can pass this up for $20.

Okay, I didn't bother to look at the price on the reprint. For $20 this is an excellent deal. I just assumed it would be $40+.

Oh man, twenty bucks? I should probably get it this time 'round. The Australian release is still somehow months away.

I agree and I certainly hope that is the case!

I think this game is worth 20 bucks. Maybe not full retail price for some, but I had a lot of fun with it and it kept me entertained for a good while.

As great as it is to see the game released. I missed out on it when I get released the first time. I probably won't pick up the reprint of it. I guess its one of the joys of being a collector, I'll just buy it with the artbook and all that good stuff on ebay.

^Collector - you must spend lots of money on video gaming... that's neat though

Yeah 20 bucks isn't bad - I tried to buy it but it won't let me... called them and apparently they are having some problem with it or so... Just thought I'd mention it in case some are trying it without much luck.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well anime stlye games especially ones that have North American Releases from what I've seen generally speaking tend to be some of the most expensive games to buy such as Suikoden II, Valkyrie Profile, Shin Megami Tensei and the Lunar Series. It doesn't bother me. I've paid upwards to 150 to 200 dollars on some games. Its the sacrifice I'm willing to make to get a quality product.

I don't even know very much about Ar Tenelico. I know its a fairly pretty game to look at and there is a dating sim in it. I really enjoyed thousand Arms. So I feel pretty confident if I enjoyed that game I will enjoy this one. Its scoring about above average reviews.

For the first edition of the game with artbook is roughly averaging anywhere between 39.99 to 59.99 american on ebay.

Played it already.

It's fair to be honest, and while the girl's "dream worlds" are entertaining to a certain degree of tolerance, it doesn't help the story one bit.

Not to mention it is not that difficult of a RPG.

Just curious about it since I haven't played it and it may be a while until it's restocked

How long is it? Side-quests? Thanks

I was always interested in this title but it came out while I was in college so I was too poor to spend money on small RPG releases. While I'm still in college and currently jobless, $20 is a lot more appealing to me.

Not sure why there are two topics on this game at the same page... but since this is the first one I read and it pertains to pre-ordering - does anyone know what happened to the page? The game's gone and I haven't received an e-mail from them. Sry first time actually interesting in pre-ordering something online.

My guess would be that the reprint is already sold out. Incredibly surprising, I never thought it was that popular of a game in the first place.

Yep. There was another website receiving some of the reprint except they were charging 30 dollars for it compared to nis only charging 20 on the rosenqueen website. I'll see if I can find the link again.

Edit: Here it is...
