Episode 24 and 25 will premier at Movie theaters in Japan on July 21 and 22nd. Japanese people can "raffle" for it if they buy some magazines and send the raffle ticket in the magazines. Two episodes will be shown together, and the runtime is about 90 minutes.
More info can be found at the official website, http://www.geass.jp/special_13.html. What about those who do not live in Japan!!! How ya doing, buddy? |
We will have to wait untill the DVD comes out :P How ya doing, buddy? |

Oh, it's right up there, haha sorry!
I totally didn't see that. Yeah i guess we will have to wait until the DVD release... kind of funny if season 2 starts to air before the DVD release... now THAT would suck. How ya doing, buddy? |
We...Lookin at the Japanese Release, They are releasing a DVD a month, dont quote this because i cant read Japanese, But it looks like they are releasing the DVDs with 3 episodes each, and the 6th dvd is due out next week. donin the math, that puts episode 25 out on dvd 9....so we have 3 more months before we see it it looks like...so yeah looks like unless it airs on TV sometime this summer, the 2nd season will probably start airing before we get to see the end of the first XP

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
From what I can tell, no one has outright said that they're making a second season of the anime; just a continuation. It could be a second season (I hope it is, too), but it could also be an OVA series, a series of movies, or it could continue in light novel format. Or, like Star Ocean EX, the story could be continued in a series of drama CDs.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
According to what happens in episodes 24 and 25, there probably will be a second season. Or at least some type of OVA series.
It has been subbed though, so lucky us we got it before August. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I just have watched the last episode, and gosh, there is no conclusion at all, but seriously, the last two eps pumped all my adrenalin up!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

No Geass fans here? Sadness...
Anyway, figured I'd bump this since I didn't see an R2 thread. We're roughly three weeks away from season 2, and there's a ton of info (BEWARE SPOILERS) here I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I'm a big fan of Code Geass (my last avatar before this was of Lelouch actually), and I'm really looking forward to the second season! But there's no way in HELL though I'm gonna look at that site you just posted, because who'd wanna ruin the fun by getting things spoiled at this stage? I'd rather wait.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Either way, it sounds exciting. The EU was sort of a backdrop existing somewhere on the periphery, so it'll be interesting to see what they're all about, but at the same time I'm disappointed that it'll chip away at the 1984 parallels to see outside perspectives. Awesome spoilers ahoy! Spoiler:
HAIL BRITANNIA! What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Speaking of spoilers...
Spoiler:
Its been so long since I've watched the end of 'season 1' of Geass, I'll probably need to go back and rewatch the end to remember just exactly what the hell happened. Its also quite convenient that Geass is taking Gundam 00's place (though I'd still much they rather keep these seasons continuous instead of breaking them apart). Although the biggest thing I took from that spoiler is that Spoiler:
Hail Britannia indeed. FELIPE NO

So I've started to rewatch the first season, and I just noticed something I didn't the last time (why I didn't is a mystery). I was like "Heeeeeey, that Nina girl... SHE DID JUST WHACK IT OFF TO EUPHIE'S PICTURE, DIDN'T SHE D: CAAN'T, UNSEEEEEEEEEE!"
Now I've gotten more disgusted by her than I was in the first place. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

Apparently, from what I heard, she was humping the table. Like this
I wonder if that dude who got arrested for doing it with his picnic table was a fan of Code Geass? How ya doing, buddy?

Welp, now that Gundam is over, Geass is almost here

I can't wait This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
If you didn't know, the first episode of the second season is now out, subbed and everything!
So I watched it. And, wow. Just, wow. Right now, the only thing I can say is, wow. I'll come back tomorrow with more thoughts on it, because right now I'm unable to think clearly both because I'm dead-tired and because of the episode. P.S. Wow. D.S. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Didn't really care much for it, tbqh. I'm sure it'll get better, but the whole false implanted memory thing makes me can't help but feel like it's going to reinforce the dementia of otakukin.

yeah i also kinda thought thought that it was a cheap way to start off the series.
Spoiler:
You all must die. "yes your highness!" How ya doing, buddy? New Record! |
Not really bad introduction though I expected something more different. Seems like this R2 will be much more angsty than previous season.
My guess for the next eps: Spoiler:
FELIPE NO
|
Its definitely somewhat of a slow start but I think it helps to setup the backdrop for future' normal life' episodes.

Yeah, it was definitely a bit of a slow start and it kind of threw me off with everyone's memories being erased. However, all that was needed for me to get all hyped up was to see that cold mother fucker Zero again And I quite agree, it was simply awesome to see him order them all to die and with them all proceeding with a "Yes your highness".
In a way I'm thinking maybe it's just good that they started out the series like this, and save the "cave" scene from the end of first season till later, cause I'm probably guessing there's some major shit that happened that'd throw the series off balance if they'd pulled it off in the beginning. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
So after a slow start I think things are really going to pick up.
