[360] Halo Reach: Ghosts of GFF

Having played a couple of Oddball matchs in H3 yesterday, either I'm a very lucky bunny or Oddball melees were OHKs in H3. Hard to say for certain though as if you pick your spot well, most people who get to you have just been fighting someone else so have low or no shields.

I'm overjoyed that the game isn't all about rushing in then meleeing any more because for my life I could never get the timing right on melee attacks in Halo 3 so tended to lose most of those kind of confrontations.

Also the other major bitching point I somehow completely forgot to post about is grenades; virtually everyone agrees that grenades are waaaay overpowered in this. I only think they slightly overpowered, but the general consensus is that they need to be nerfed dramatically, or not drop off dead bodies, or something. Get your grenade spam on for the Beta kids!

I haven't tried normal grab bag yet to check, but I've run into nothing but douches and assholes this morning in Arena. It was totally worth it though because I'm paired up with these Puerto Rican guys. Can't understand a fucking word they're saying, but when I assassinated a guy that wasn't paying attention to me to save one of them, they then ran up and teabagged him yelling "stupido" into the mic. I love it.

Sounds like a blast. I definitely won't miss dual-wielding either. It seemed like if you didn't have two guns at all times, you were just fucked.

Can you block the sword with any weapon or just the sword? I know you could block it in H3 if you had a sword, but if you can block with anything now, that's great news.

I'll be in Korea when the game drops, but hopefully I'll be able to work with the time difference and play with you guys.

For those people who didn't get an early access code to the beta and were waiting, the download link from ODST is now up. Downloads don't seem all that speedy so I imagine the server is getting hit pretty hard, but it is ticking along at least. Might be able to jump into a game later tonight if other people are about.

Sorry I'm late Tails, I slept in for an extra hour (was really tired) and I've just had a ton more stuff to do around the house then I thought. I see that you just got off; I'll be done with everything I'm doing in about 20 minutes or so (just waiting on my stuff in the dryer), then whenever you get back on I should be around all day.
