Every day I've listened to that melody and I know it in the back of my head, even able to continue it a bit, but I just can't come up with a name... I'm going to be fucking pissed off if the second hint makes it immidiately obvious

Depending on the type of hard drive failure, it just miiight be possible to recover the data. You just got to sacrifice an external enclosure, and freeze the hard disk for a few hours!

I already reformatted the hard drive and did a repair on the bad blocks unfortunately.

I just completely forgot about certain irreplaceable data while I was doing that though, and I thought I had the sample library backed up as well. Didn't know about the freezing the disk though (I wonder how that works). O_o

Oh well... I don't mind too much either way about the passwords, losing the sample library is a bit of a disappointment though.

...and still no guesses on #20? I thought for sure someone here would be watching that series still.
