Kings
http://www.nbc.com/Kings/
New show started on NBC on March 15th. It takes place in the fictional nation of Shiloh and is based loosely on the biblical story of King David and King Saul. Starring Ian McShane and relative newcomer Christopher Egan. The first episode wasn't bad but I feel that one of the only things that's going to keep this show afloat is going to be McShane. The man has a gravitas and voice that commands respect as King Silas. Has anyone else seen this yet? Post your "THIS IS NOT DEADWOOD, SO FUCK THIS SHOW!" comments below. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Ian McShane does not have a mustache now, so fuck this show.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Looks kind of interesting, but the previews had a bit too much whiny teen drama and not enough political backstabbery, which is what I expect with Ian McShane as the King. The newcomer looks like every kid from Dawson's Creek, and I can only expect that same "depth" from him.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
