Post URLs of Game & Anime Music Sites (Version 7.1)

Welcome to Gamingforce's VGM and Anime URL site listings!

From the original forum versions posted by Mortis and other GFF members, GFF presents version 7.1!!

--------------------------------------------------

READ BEFORE POSTING!! (10-13-2006)

Only post sites that are NOT on the list. No need to post duplicates.

This first posting will be a "Master List" of all the sites contributed by fellow GFF members. I will not be checking to make sure the links are still up and running. If someone in here wants to take over that responsibility, then let me know. I will create a link to your post.

If there are special instructions to access the music, please list it. A link will be created to your post.

Include a description with the link. This will let others know what to expect and it doesn't have to be long. Look at the list below for examples.

Use the following template in submitting links:
http://www.yourlink.com - (Enter description here)

If you do find a dead link, please let me know. I'll remove it as soon as I can. CAUTION! Some sites go down due to reaching their bandwidth limit and may become available a short time later. I suggest giving a link 30 days before calling it a "dead link."

--------------------------------------------------

Snipe Hunting (Tips and Tricks to finding OSTs on sites when it appears they don't exist)

When navigating through sites, look for musique, music, downloads, mp3s, osts, ect. to find where the music is. Also check your taskbar when you hold your mouse over a link because even though the site may not be in English, this trick can help.

--------------------------------------------------

Nice work on the thread, Inforcer!

One thing for now: I suggest using [size=1] font for the site descriptions so that the text doesn't stretch so far off to the side.

How ya doing, buddy?

Very nice Inforcer. =) My only complaint though, would be the apparent need of money for allost.ru? How exactly does it work? Do i sign up and give em a credit card #? Every album (for game music) i looked at had a cent cost per track, usually being 1-3 $ per album. (Also couldn't figure out exactly which russian phrase meant 'download')

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Unfortunately Daedalus Ikari, Mortis is correct. I just went there yesterday to download some more albums, but what I discovered was a sad thing. They are now charging for each album. Although they are charging for the album, some are only a couple of dollars. I don't know russian so I can't help you with the ordering process if you decided to go that route.

Looks like I will be removing that link.....

I was speaking idiomatically.

I dunno if you should go and remove it. I mean, if you're able to find out how to order, that's a really freaking good deal for music. 2$ an album? I'd pay that. (then again, i actually go and import soundtracks anyway. >_> )

* Post transfer;
* Available in Moscow, in Saint Petersburg, in Kiev;
* Sberbank RF;
* System of rapid speed;
* Available along the system contact;
* Fethard;
* e-gold;
* Capitalcollect;

I sure as hell wouldn't be handing money out to some shady Russian website to download music that I could find on the FTPs here at GFF for free.

Meh. The biggest advantage of it would be speed. I don't know how many days straight i've had to leave my desktop on to get just a couple albums from some of the FTPs.

Well, if there were something like iTunes, I'd have no problem handing over money for that person's work.

Regardless, I think this list of URLs should be limited to free sites.

Though I guess you could make a separate list below it for illegal pay sites like this, if you really wanted to.

I will just list FREE sites only. If you really are going to pay money for them, then I recommend buying it from CD Japan or Gamemusic.com (legit sites). If that is too steep of prices, then bootlegs CDs are the next option.

At any rate the list above will be free sites.

I found this at another forum. Hopefully someone could check them all to verify whether they are still alive or not. Maybe the working links could be included in next version of this thread.

EDIT: I have removed a lot of links here. Most of them are dead already, and most of them only rotation site mp3 with few mp3. I have checked each of them by clicking the mp3. I will edit this post later on.

Ugh. I'd say avoid Gamemusic.com like the plague. The pricing and shipping costs are atrocious compared to CDJapan, YesAsia, and VGMWorld. The only CD i've ever ordered from there is Valkyrie Profile Arranged, and that's because you can't find it anywhere else. T_T
