I used to have it too. I nabbed it off OiNK back when before they got SHUT THE FUCK DOWN and when they still allowed entire discography torrents. I have no clue what happened to it but the two albums of theirs that I heard were solid.

There's nowhere I can't reach. |
So I've now heard two of the Diablo Swing Orchestra tracks as randomized by my mp3 player and I have to say FUCKING AWESOME HOLY SHIT.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |
Anal Cunt: Yeah, it's something one should have listened to, just to know what it is. The nomenclature and everything is nice enough (naysayers would call it "immature" and "desperatly trying to be provocant), and I readily recognize the effort that's going into playing stuff like that...
But... personally, I like music that sounds diffrent when I push fast forward on my CD-player. :P So that puts AC right next to Dark Funeral on my list of "Bands you can listen to in fast forward or backward without actually missing the point". Diablo Swing Orchestra: Awesome stuff. Goth-Metal (which does neither take "goth" nor "metal" too serious, which is very important) and Swing-ish styles aren't really something you'd expect to hear mixed together. I'm glad you guys liked the CDs I posted But that's no wonder, cause they're just that good
To you who haven't heard Dream Theater, I recommend the CDs sprouticus posted, they're are one band you just gotta listen to. Also, I'm just about to post an album made by the genius Arjen Lucassen, IMO it's one of the best albums out there. Check it out! I was speaking idiomatically. |
I'm going to try to post one album a day until I exhaust my collection, which is pretty expansive. I have most everything except their debut album and a few bootlegs. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Well, it doesn't matter if you haven't gotten their debut album IMO, if I'd say it myself I don't think their debut album is that very good. Ok, there might be some people that would like it more than I do, but I just can't find it as good as the other albums.

I have heard it's lackluster, but I wouldn't mind hearing it, if anything just to have it in the collection and to hear what Dominici sounded like.
Falling Into Infinity is extremely blech as well... The only dull spot in my DT collection is that album. I don't plan on uploading it because it's not very good, and the best stuff from that album can be found on their live stuff. Also, great timing on uploading Ayreon. I've heard alot about them and have been looking to get into them. I'm going to download it as soon as I get home from work What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Just so that you know, Ayreon is not a band, but a project led and written/composed by Arjen Lucassen. The artists he has "recruited" for the various projects are many, like James LaBrie for an example (personally the Human Equation is where I think James LaBrie has done his best on any album ever) And you could find other known musicians like Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), Russell Allen/Michael Romeo (Symphony X) among others in his many CDs of the Ayreon project. You can check the complete list here.

Yeah I did some reading up on them while at work. This CD is really marvelous so far. I DEMAND MOAR!

I listened to Powerglove.
And then I shed tears of pure joy. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I can't wait to get home so I too can partake in the glory that is Powerglove. It sounds mindblowingly epic.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I will be giving Powerglove a try, even though I hate most power metal. It sure sounds interesting.

Nova, Midlake is awesome. =O
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
"Roscoe" is far and away the best song on the album. The rest really doesn't stand up well in comparison. it's still worth a download, but it's really all downhill from the single.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
OK so, like, I listened to this Powerglove albums and I came. Like 10 times.
Seriously guys... I'm gonna have to do laundry again. Most amazing jew boots |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
So, just a question . . . did anyone actually listen to the Langley Schools album?

I haven't listened to any new music in a month or two. Will catch up in December, hopefully.
