Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Hey psst it's me
The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will take place in Oslo from May 25th - 29th. 39 countries will take part in the contest. In case you're unable to follow this amazing event on TV (basically because you're situated in the United States), the official website will offer a great livestream: First Semi-Final of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest | Eurovision Song Contest - Oslo 2010 Checkout Popbitch blog for more hot Eurovision news. So if you guys want to talk about this, go ahead. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Yay Eurovision!
I love Eurovision, it's so completely fucking mental. I find it hard to believe that anything will top the insanity of the half time show from Russia with all those people rolling around in transparent swimming pools. I've not had a proper look at all the entries yet but I hear it's all gone a bit 70's. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Hello
only three days left! some countries didn't survive the semi-final 1 Look here: File:ESC 2010 Map.svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (no sexy bitches from Latvia or Estonia ) the second semi-final will take place tomorrow. additional info: It was announced at the Reference Group meeting on 22 March 2010 that Kazakhstan would be broadcasting the contest. so long, suckers This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Slovakia knocked out? I only watched it for 20 minutes but that was the best I heard. I am utterly outraged.

Watching the second semi-finals as we speak, I am also so ashamed of my own country right now that I could cry. I enjoyed it up until the Netherlands, mostly because of the hot chicks, regardless of most of them being jailbait.
But good lord, I cannot fathom that they'd send something like this to represent us. We have several capable singers who could perform there. They pulled this shit last year as well, blargh :') I really hope we don't make it to the finals, because I would rather not have to go through this public humiliation again. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
If you haven't noticed, many West European countries raise their noses high in the air and just send their worst so they don't have to host the very expensive and useless competition.
The sad thing is, the whole thing is making East Europe more and more poor because they really want to win to get their tiny insignificant countries at least a little bit more known among the general public. And one of them is Finland, who actually used the tax payers' money to host the show a few years ago (it was organized by the national television company, not the commercial tv stations). :/ At least Finland won't be competing in the finals this year, even though it was a fairly sympathetic song, compared to the soulless NZ NZ NZ of many others. FELIPE NO |
The Baltic states do have the advantage of lots of guaranteed points though from friendly neighbours. The only points we get from being buddies with people is from Ireland and even they sometimes don't give us any (Scooch). The political voting is almost as funny as the acts themselves.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
In case you don't have any plans for saturday night
#eurovision on irc.synirc.net no eurovision chat in #gfchat this year because of all the philistines in there Additional Spam: 16 minutes in, first stage invasion lol Additional Spam: I love how Belarus overtook the UK with a 12-point vote, putting them on the last place. Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm somehow shocked. Congratulations to Lena, sure, but the song is... urgh. *goes back to the BSC2010*
