Laptop Screen Problem
For some reason, the screen on my laptop has given out randomly. It was just sitting on my lap, and then the screen fell straight back. Could someone please tell me if it's possible to fix this, or why this happened?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Like it just keeps blacking out?
If that's the case, there are several possibilities: one is that the inverter board (which is a device that provides power to the LCD). Second it could be something wrong with the backlight of the LCD. It could be the LCD itself. No matter which one is not functioning, you'd probably need to send your unit in for service. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
It sounds like he meant that the screen itself is loose at the hinge and fell backwards. If thats the case I don't know what you could do to fix it sorry.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Sorry for not being specific. What scotty said.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
No, you were specific. I was just in a very fatigued state of mind when I read it I think. Well, my suggestion of taking your unit in for service still holds.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Well, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't come to that. This baby is over four years old now, and the only update was an extra 256MB card I threw in at some point. I'm planning on getting a new desktop soon, anyway, but I still kind of want this thing for browsing in bed. Right now, it's leaning up against my headboard. ;_;
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Check are there any screws at the base of the screen, usually they are beneath some sort of tiny plastic cover where the hinges meet at the base, give them a tighten with a screw driver, I had this problem a few times with my old laptop as well.
Otherwise, no screws or bits of plastic have fallen off lately have they?? (have a look to see if anything looks missing near the hinges). Were you rough handling it?? FELIPE NO

Bet he was. Surfing in bed eh... it's kinda harsh on a laptop
Try asking this guy here: http://www.laptoprepairguy.com/lapto...ideo-problems/ What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
