No, you don't need to have SF to get EF or AF. I've never actually used zip lines before, only grappling hooks. The hooks are quite fun, though, enabling you to reach places you normally wouldn't, which makes it awesome for snipers.

No, they're all seperate packs. And from personal experience, zip lines are great.

Yeah due to limited funds I think i'm going to just get SF. I can't wait to snipe some guy going down the zip line. That would be awesome. Heh

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

That's what we'drecommend anyway, because of the extra unlocks each rank, ah-roooooo. Enjoy the game when you get it, and have fun with the jet skis! :D

If you don't wear the goggles, then everything's pitch black...
That's true, but I think it tends to add to the realism of the level. Night Flight would be one of my favorite levels if I had the chance to play it more. The trick is to rebind the goggles to a key that's easier to press, because you have to switch back and forth from them often. (the same is really true for gas mask, but that doesn't affect visibility near as much)

I really love the tactical angle of the expansion. If you have a coordinated squad, it is much easier to sneak in and steal a point out from under a group of enemies' collective noses. Zip lines and grappling hooks mean you can go a lot of places you might not normally be able to, and because of the teargas, it's a lot easier to suppress people who might not be so quick on the button with the mask. (More people than you might think, actually.)

Warlord and Night Flight are my favorites of the expansion, but mostly what my friend and I bought it for is the unlockable weapons. The MP7 engineer SMG, the F2000 assault rifle, the SCAR spec ops rifle...really almost every unlock is worth it. (Except maybe the anti-tank P90 SMG, I hear compared to the DAO shotgun it's pretty bad)

If you've got 20 bucks to burn, I'd say definitely go for it. It's got a lot of added content, but it's also got a different approach to playing. Even more so than before, you have to think cautiously, like the title would suggest, more along the lines of a special forces group.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Wish there weren't 3 night maps, though. As mentioned previously, Warlord and Iron Gator are my faves. I used to ace with the F2K, but since the 1.22 patch, I've been doing utterly horrible with them. So much for the awesome F2K :(

Is anyone else thinking of getting AF? It's a lot better than Euroforce. Taco can vouch for me on that :) They'd be awesome to play in our Friday sessions, but yes, we will still play normal maps if you don't have it. We're not about to alienate you from our sessions if you're thinking along those lines.

Tonight's game was awesome. We all started off playing AF on Operation Road Rage, which if I had my new computer built by now would be super awesome, but it sadly isn't ;_; . Next we played the catepillar map (Operation Clean Sweep), the rarest map of them all and broke down some misconceptions I had (USA cant win). Near the end we all started doing some hokey crap and it was just all around fun.

Haha, that was a fun game. KrazyTaco: "Americans NEVER win on this map". 10 minutes later we (on the US) have 230 points left and the MECs are out of spawns . Unfortunately, our boat tours didn't go so well, we kept hitting some rough turbulance. And by turbulance, I mean bullets and missiles flying at us. Actually that does make me wonder...why are there absolutely no waves in the water...

But now that you mention it, that map does kinda look like a caterpiller, or at least some type of slug.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Someone oughta make a map shaped like a ferret.

Can't believe someone actually had Operation Clean Sweep in their rotation. I've only played that map like, once or twice. We had fun saying random (but funny) crap during the match. We should definitely do that more often (and by that, I mean saying random stuff during the match). The entire squad got wiped out on the overpass once in Road Rage. Lots of people would think that sucks, that I always see it as funny :D

Unfortunately, we didn't play too long, unlike our past sessions.

Taco dropped the idea due to lack of interest from the group, except for me. If you're changing your mind, then let us know and maybe Taco can start one up again.

How ya doing, buddy?

Just a reminder folks, tommorrow is game night. Keep in mind that although everyone typically tries their best to meet an official Friday gameday, we all still play mid-week whenever were all on and available and willing to play. Don't log onto Xfire only for Fridays, always be on. If it makes you feel better, Xfire is a great standalone IM program, one that competes with the likes of AIM in my opinion.

We play Eastern time evenings. We never have an exact time as it largely depends on who is available at that time and whether or not they can play.
