Yeah, I use that offertory box all the time... At the moment, I'm an above average student. I'm working on my Social Link with Bebe... Weird dude...

But what's the warm and soft bread that the girl wants? I can't seem to figure that out either...

This is just a guess, since I haven't gotten to that point or found that event yet, but has the lady in the school lobby had an item like that for sale? I remember her mentioning how the bread she has sells out fast or something from when I spoke to her earlier in the game.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I was wondering what that drink was, Thanks Juanzen.

I'm on my last day before the 2nd Full Moon, Currently i have this set of Persona.

Aspara = Level 8
Zouchoten = Level 16
Valkyrie = Level 14
Berth (Something like that) = Level 15
Orpheus = Level 1
Angel = Level 4.

Orpheus is level 1 since i forgot to level it back then, for some unknown reason i always used "Aspara" because of her Ice spells, Worked like a charm in the first block.

I just beat 59th Floor boss with these Personas.

Inugami 13
Orpheus 4
Apsaras 5
Naga 20
Valkyrie 15
Yomotsu Shikome 12
Pyro Jack 17
Lilim 8

Only reason I have Lilim is because I tried that charm tactic someone on GameFAQs mentioned. It didn't work at all, probably because Lilim's level was too low, or maybe mine was, main character is only level 18. I usually keep Inugami equiped for the Auto-Tarukaja skill, then switch to Naga in battle.

I just wrapped up the midterms. I'm still a little pissed you don't get the gift from Mitsuru unless you score top of the class. I would've assumed "pretty good" would've worked.

The difficulty definitely does jump up after reaching the second section of Tartarus. Currently level 11 with Orpheus at level 6 and an Archangel at 15 or some such.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'm starting to get really frustrated with that Emperor battle... If I must, I will grind to level 23 just to get a Persona that's nulls all Wind attacks. T_T

You're talking about the boss on Floor 59? Try this.

Spoiler:
Use Hero with a Persona that has Sukunda (just make sure its not weak to wind). Set Yukari to Heal/Support and Akihiko/Mitsuru to Act Freely. Akihiko will spam Tarunda which lowers the bosses attack power, in addition to your Sukunda which lowers its hit/evasion. He'll have a hard time hitting you and your characters can effectively support themselves, especially with Yukari as a dedicated healer. The boss is an endurance fight since he has no weaknesses, just keep him debuffed, yourself healed and take him down with Agi, Bufu, or Zio attacks. Worked for me, and my party was under 20.

Does Orpheus learn skills even after level 10 or what?

Because my Aspara doesnt have any more skills to learn.

Because i might fuse her into a persona with Bufu and maybe something that would buff the party.

Complaint about later characters:
Wow, Aigis, Ken, and Shinji all have serious issues with nearly killing themselves using physical attacks. Shinji especially seems to insist on using that move Final something even when it's completely unnecessary. They're strong, but it would be nice if they didn't constantly require so much healing.

On a lesser note, it would be nice if I could have an option to turn off certain party members' skills without having to go through tactics every battle. Mitsuru seems to have a Tentarafoo fetish and Akihiko would rather Tarunda an enemy than finish it off sometimes.

To answer your question, nope. You can see how many skills a Persona will learn by looking at the next level thing and how many question marks are there. Once you've gone through all of those, it won't learn anymore and it'll just level up.

That's why I like fusing them, since they wind up getting skills they normally wouldn't have on top of gaining new ones in their movepool (from both fused personas).

Thanks for the Mad Bull tip, I did what Tritoch did too and it didn't get me anywhere.

Edit: Forgot about something. Personas do learn things afterwards, but they don't appear in that ? list, but rather replace a move. For example Samael's Mudoon turned into Virus Breath, Dominion's Hamaon turned into some slash attack and countless others. You see it happen pretty often after fusions with decent or strong social links. The downside is that you can't see the kind of move you're getting, which is why I restarted after getting Virus Breath. Hits all enemies for 25% of their max HP + poison sounds nice, but at 40 SP, that's pretty expensive.

later characters:
So far I've only used Aigis and Koromaru out of the later ones, but it is annoying how much damage they incur just attacking. It's one reason why I avoid using a persona's physical skills and simply use a regular physical attack. That's why giving Power (now Dominion) and Samael strength cards turned out for the better.

Plus, where I am now, Mitsuru using Tentarafoo is a good thing.

Has anyone else notice a similar thing?

it seems very easy for me to intercept a gold enemy if i am alone ie: separated the rest of my teammates somewhere else. I am going to try and see if the auto intercept works as well.

It depends on the angle, not number of people. To get a gold, you have to approach from almost DIRECTLY BEHIND the enemy. Other mobs don't react fast and you can get them from the front and surprise them still. I've done that once with a gold, but I wouldn't recommend the method.

Number of people won't matter. Besides, it'd hedge your odds for killing the thing since they enjoy running.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Gechmir's on the money. Once in a while in the fourth block I'll get a floor with "more enemies than normal". The difference between this one and the others is that the floor is populated with a ton of gold Opulent Hands and briefcases all over the place. Your safest bet is to stay quite a ways off from them if they're facing you and when they turn around be sure to stay behind them or they'll bolt for sure.

I managed to kill 9 or 10 of them like this, so it definitely works.

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention that I use the 1h sword since it's got some damn nice range and it's fast.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Oh, when that happened to me, my sense of getting behind them absolutely sucked. If you're really unsure about getting behind them, use a Bow or something. Just remember you have to be in range for attacking, but you don't have to be directly behind them anyway. Just make sure, though, that your characters have all the available physical attacks.

[edit] Yay! Finally beat the the boss on level 59!!

And here's what I did:

I generally followed what everyone said about setting Yukari on Support/Heal and everyone else on Act Freely. As opposed to what Guest said, I used Fortuna (thank god she was strong against wind) and instead of using Sukunda (which uses it against the enemy), I used Sukukaja (or whatever it's called...) to use it on myself and my allies. Almost guaranteeing a hit on every turn, I managed to wither him down low enough. I thought I was done for when he used Heat Wave, but I survived and managed to revive Yukari who got K.Oed in the blast. I finally managed to take him down with a simple slash attack. <_<

Also, I lucked out even more when Fortuna had Wind Dodge attached to her, so the boss's Garu attacks either did little or no damage at all.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, saying that shit has happened since the last time I posted would be an understatement. I've got to warn you all about the bastard on floor #135. I'm several bosses (Tartarus bosses) past him right now, but the battle is still fresh in my mind.

The Table's having you for dinner.:

This cat likes to spam Maragidyne like crazy, with the occasional Hama here or there. One of two things to look out for though: His Evil Smile and Wailing Cry (or whatever it's called) is brutal. The former inflicts fear status and the latter is a guaranteed KO on anything with fear. Cure it quickly if it sticks and you'll be fine here.

The second thing is Megidola. It's a pretty strong multi-target non-elemental spell, so everyone's going to take a beating equally. I'm guessing you rely soley on your Persona's endurance rating to determine how much damage you take from this. Anyway, just keep your team's HP up when he starts using this and keeping attacking him.

Oh and random ass Hama spells to scare you if you don't have something with Null Light, or a persona who nulls it naturally. Keep chipping away and you'll win. Good thing that the next few clowns are much easier compared to him, at least I thought so.

Here's something that put a smile on my face. It's a Tartarus Floor Spoiler so beware:
See above:
In my mad quest to get those old documents and generally complete the requests before the deadline I tore through the bosses from 135 on up. As expected after the fire-tattoo Hulk Hogan boss, Fuuka mentions there aren't very many enemies on the floors which means I'm close to the block and the briefcase with my precious inside. So I keep climbing and...

Nothing. The 164th floor is nothing more than a shiny helipad.

I was expecting the latest form of obstacle, maybe golden Elegant Mother statues all piled up in front of the next staircase, but there isn't even a staircase to block. There's nothing but the vomit colored Dark Hour sky around me and the stars in said sky, along with some golden columns and the access point to get back down.

Elizabeth will probably call me for a late night booty call and to inform me of a change in Tartarus.

In every screenshot I see of this game the environment looks exactly the same. Is it actually like that while you're playing through, or is there a decent amount of variation? (I suppose since it's set in a school there's not the standard fire, ice, desert, etc., RPG areas...)

Arg! I HATE this game's full moon nights at times! Lost to the stupid second full moon night battle (and it was going well too, the f'ers got a lucky string of hits in on my character!) and now I have to go through all the text and crap again. So freaking annoying that this game doesn't allow one to skip story scenes with the Start button or something. Sorry needed to vent, while I yep you guessed it, am going through all the events that I'VE ALREADY GONE THROUGH ONCE BEFORE!

Ahh, so there's that "main character dies = instant game over" that the SMT series is famous for...this is my first SMT game so that was pleasant surprise, especially since it came during a generic battle which I had the Player Advantage in =/

Better I learn that lesson now than during an intense boss battle without saving ^^; Apparently us Final Fantasy folks have been having it too good for too long!

In any case, I'm coming close to that 59th level boss everyone seems to have had a tough time with. I haven't had any hiccups with the bosses yet, mainly because I've been grinding quite a bit. I didn't know about the day before full moon stamina bonus though, I had actually avoided fighting on the day before a full moon so I wouldn't be tired going into that boss battle.

Oh the things you learn from boards!

How ya doing, buddy?
