Vince is'nt going to do that because it's too creative and requires a lot of thought.(=P)

Come to think of it, if we were writers for the WWE, Steph would fire us all.
This makes me think. Whatever happened to that GM Fantasy thing they had going a few years ago, where you made the matches and contraversies? Perhaps if that returned, the writers would get an idea of what the fans REALLY want as opposed to what Vince says the fans really want.

How ya doing, buddy?

Tonight I get to see my first airing of TNA Prime time. Im glad its not showing on mondays. Back when Nitro aired, it was a bit annoying doing all the flipping back and forth. Stings' looking good as ever. LOL KEVIN NASH WTF DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR? I missed me some Angle wrestling I hope he performs tonight.
This makes me think. Whatever happened to that GM Fantasy thing they had going a few years ago, where you made the matches and contraversies? Perhaps if that returned, the writers would get an idea of what the fans REALLY want as opposed to what Vince says the fans really want.
Its still around but it was reduced to Cyber Sunday. And even then we don't have absolute say in how matchs are made. For example HHH is not up for who goes against Orton because it'd be no contest with the votes. And no matter how cool it'd be to see Hardy/Kennedy vs. Orton - THAT definitely wont happen.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yes, for ECW title match we get a choice of... John Morrison (been there), The Miz (are you fucking serious?), and Big Daddy V (why doesn't CM Punk just roll around in a 450 lb vat of poo?)

Sad that you won't see stables as strong as the Four Horsemen were in their day, isn't it?

Oh, and just because it has become obligatory for me to make one mention of him in every post... Jericho. That's all.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I have nothing clever to put here.

TNA was awesome..just..awesome. This one guy in team pacman did a freaking corkscrew dropkick/back kick, whatever the heck was. Holy smokes. The only thing I was not happy about was the one thing that irked me in WCW. Mike Tenay -omg he has a very annoying voice and doesn't know when to shutup ~_~. It was good to see some old faces and nice to see that Scott Steiner is still pumping those steriods muscles. Thier womens division > WWE's.

Spoiler:
Ok so Samoa Joe got beat up by a coconut that Christian used, and Angle got placed in the Scorpion deathlock at the end of the show. LOL! Angle walked in on Rikishi while he was taking a dump. When Macho Machismo came out..I really thought that was Randy Savage -,-. "Goldust", Abyss, Rhino and Raven had what I guess is TNA's version of a hardcore match. Ended pretty nasty. Abyss was DDT'd(Raven special) on a pile of tacks and it blinded him and he ended side slamming Rhino by accident and Rhino was pinned by good ol' dusty to pick up the victor.

That would be Ron Killings A.K.A. K-Kwik and his 2 month stint in WWE with Road Dogg

And TNA does A LOT of extreme stuff.

Like Judas Mesias jabbing a piece of glass into Abyss' arm and dragging it along his skin. Jeff Jarrett smashing Abyss in the head with a guitar full of tacks. Black Hole Slams onto the tacks.

And placing their tag team titles on a guy who didn't even get one offensive move in for his team (aside from spray painting his opponents).

Works well in thier favor(but dont know for how long), he was about to do something but the ref got mad because he wasnt the legal man, and got in the way when he ran to the ropes. LOL when Jacky saw that Amazing Kong do that sitting power bomb on that chinese girl she went "Oh fuck!".

As for the new hart foundation - I'm surprized any Hart wants to work in the WWE.

Well, even Bret has stated that despite his reservations against Vince, that the WWE is the place to work.

Oh, and um, nevermind about that stat concerning last man standing matches and faces. After doing a bit of researching, I found Jericho (as a face) lost to Trips back in 2000 in such a match. Ugh.

Yeah, but you can't blame Vince for being paranoid involving the Screwjob.

But WWE has the money and it has the airtime. WWE theres what a total of 20 hours of tv time a month plus theres like...2 PPV's a month as well where TNA has only 10 hours and one PPV a month.

WWE may throw you on as a jobber for a while but you're still getting TV time and you can still learn how to become more influential in the business

Uh, how about looking at all the developmental talent that is continually being hired and released. Becoming a WWE employee these days guarantees you nothing but a bad taste in your mouth about the business when you bust your ass and then end up released or canned. It may be an opportunity, but if I were given a choice between a TNA contract and a WWE contract at this point, TNA would be my choice no question.

WWE leaves you more injury prone, there is no guarantee you will work on TV unless you were in ROH or TNA beforehand (see: CM Punk), the schedule is more full of shit, and you could be released at any time the moment WWE sees you as expendable or simply wants to cut their budget no matter how good you are.

Jericho signing again with the WWE is unfortunate. He'll be on the shelf with an injury in less than six months at this point.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Interestingly enough, I was just reading Jerry Lawler's book in which what you said Kos was what he said about WWE contracts. That is, they can release you at any time for any reason while it's hard for you to get out of the contract.

You can't blame Vince for being paranoid, but at the same time he didn't need to do what he did. I think the best reason why (aside from Bret's honesty) is that if Bret REALLY wanted to take the belt with him, he could have done just that be bringing a modified version of the title on Nitro and saying, "As you all know, I never gave up. The referee said I did, but as you all know, that is not the case. Hence, I am still the world champion" and then go on to challenge Hogan/Sting to a unification match. ANd given the circumstances, people would have bought it.

Television time is useful....if it helps promote the talent. HOwever, if you constantly are losing on T.V., very few will take you seriously (save for joke polls like the one WWE just had with Venis/Snitskey being on top), and once you're released, your market value won't be that high.

Interestingly enough, working for the WWE would theoritically be less injury prone if not for all the extra dates (usually in the form of house shows) that one has to go through. They limit the high-risk moves talent can use at times (remember when piledrivers and the like weren't allowed several years back?), and seemingly limit the moves wrestlers can use overall.

The extra dates are only the way they are because they decide to run 3498203948029348 house shows that leave little more than a small ounce of illegitimate exposure. Nobody gets the rub at house shows, they are there to appease fickle fans that will otherwise never go to a larger show.

Rather than have one main three hour taped show and a single PPV every month, they have THREE shows with multiple talents appearing on some shows, all the house shows they put up, and expect everyone to make every single fucking date no matter what.

I respect TNA more solely on the basis that they tape their shit once every two weeks and then allow people to heal and have time off, only working the occasional house show or two from time to time.

WWE has no excuse for not having more talent pushed with so much airtime, yet we see the same garbage every single week and the same talent getting pushed over and over again. Val Venis wins the fan poll, REPACKAGE THE FUCKER AND GIVE HIM AN OPPORTUNITY. Is it so hard to ask?

Well, from a marketing standpoint, I can understand all the house shows. People may think, "Hey, I might not get to see a live event, but there's a house show, so that's SOMETHING!".

I still feel that Val won solely as a joke from the fans. I mean, maybe I am wrong, but i could almost see some fans thinking, "Wouldn't it be funny if Val won?" and voted for him. Then a few more see Val a bit in the lead and think, "Haha, be so funny if he won!" and in goes their votes for the big valbowski. And this is nothing against Val's skills, he is a well-tuned performer. However, he's also the guy whose barely on television anymore, and I thought was going to be released last spring, that suddenly the fans put the votes in for.

I saw Val Venis on the poll and thought, "Man, it's been a long time since I saw him. Why not give the guy a chance? He deserves it." Clicked vote and to my surprise he was in 3rd at that point.

You really have to think about Val Venis from a loyalty standpoint too, the guy has been with the company since all the way back in the Attitude era. Hasn't bitched, whined, moaned, complained, and has run with every opportunity really given to him. He did the Chief Morley thing quite well when he was doing it, it wasn't something he blew at or anything. But even if the poll victory was a joke, someone cared enough to make that happen. The guy deserves at least something before he ends up being forced into retirement for being too old.

Yep I think thats why a lot of people voted. But you see how he quickly got thrown out of the picture. The match between him and Santino didnt even happen. Instead that match got converted into a squash match with Stinsky being the squasher.

Perhaps a message to us saying "Sorry, Val is done people. Keep dreaming".

IMO all the low carders on Heat and Velocity need some kind of chance.

So, prediction time.

Gaunlet Match for Woman's Title
Half of those competing I have never seen before. I might as well flip a ten sided coin on this one. And that landed on Gail Kim.

Monster Ball
Eh, no one is really built here anymore. Two years or so ago Rhyno managed to win this, a battle royal, and the title. If Judias heals up enough that he can suddenly compete, then he will win it. Else, it will be Abyss.

2/3 Tables Match
Obviously, each teamwill put one of their guys through a table. I forsee the Steiners putting one of the Dudley's througha table, but the ref not seeing it. Dudleys then win by putting the other Steiner through a table.

Tag Team Title match
People are not so thrilled that Styles wil team with Tomko for the belts. Well, I actually don't mind the team. They have been going on and on about Tomko's other tag title reign, and Styles is just a great wrestler. I forsee them winning the straps, and this being sorta the last thing before either Tomko or Styles turning face.

Cage Vs Joe W/ Matt Morgan as the special enforcer
It would seem that Morgan will turn heel here. i think it's a bit too soon. He'll get in Cage's and Joe's face, but ultimately Joe will win it. Seeds will be placed for Morgan (and Cornette's) heel turn down the road.

Triple X Vs Lax
Remember when Triple H was an awesome team that was hard to beat? Anyway, obviusly, Triple X does not have that third man advantage as Daniels has another match. LAX wins it and goes on to face Tomko/Styles.

X-Division Match
They have obviously been building Daniels up for another X-Division reign. A bit of a shame as a world title reign would have been refreshing. Unfortunately, we are in a different age and era than five years ago when Daniels would have had a chance. Daniels wins the X-division title here.\

World Title
Originally, this would have been a no brainer. Angle would have beat Sting with the Ankle Lock. However, now there is the recent problems Angle has been in, and the fact that TNA needs their rep to stay good. Hence, Sting becoming world champion, albeit a short, transitional champion, is a possibility. Unfortunately, there is no one really that is built up to face the champ at this point, especially in the face department. So, with that being said, ANgle retains.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

TNA's website has a bad webhost. Poor thing is down like 80% of the time.

I was under the impression that Matt Morgan was heel during my first viewing of TNA Impact. He will make a great main eventer. After all, this is the same guy who F5'ed the Big Show twice(and a fued that never got off the ground..)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Morgan and Big Show never had a feud, the feud was between Show and Carlito. Carlito got moved to Raw and Morgan kinda got lost in the shuffle.

And I think its more that TNA's website gets slammed with people wanting to know what the hell happened during the ppv.

but anyways, heres a short recap

Spoiler:

Gail Kim wins Gauntlet and the title
Steiners win Tables Match.
Styles/Tomko win Tag Titles.
Abyss wins Monsters Ball
Eric Young wins the fight for the right battle thingy and gains #1 contendership
Joe def. Cage, Morgan doesn't turn.
LAX defeats Triple X after Hernandez gets the X
Lethal defeats Daniels after the Lethal Combination
Sting Wins World Title.

Hm, not bad on my part. I really should have went with my gut feelings in some of these matches. Had I done so, I would have only been off one match. Still, I did manage to get five of them. Unfortunately,

Spoiler:

Sting Vs. Angle - The Rematch. Talk about a loss-loss situation. If Sting wins (other than by DQ which may very well happen), it will hurt Angle's wrestling rep. If Angle wins, well, we have seen what is going on with him in the news.

I'm going to say that the match between Umaga and that british wrestler was totally inappropriate and didn't help the image of the country that the WWE HQ resides in. The UK fans could have perceived it the wrong way.
