Agreed...The Bears are downright scary. They're like...the Ravens. Except they score oodles of points for added intimidation. I have them penciled in for the NFC Championship game (vs either Eagles or Seattle) and the Super Bowl.

Heh, I work in DE with a bunch of Eagles fans. I always replace the "Fly Eagles Fly" song with "Fly Ravens Fly"...Pisses people off (for real, I think) or catches them offguard. I have the altered lyrics hanging in my cubicle...I'm just waiting to come in and see a death threat scrawled over it.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I'll be more convinced that Chicago can hang around with the major contenders after they play one. Sorry if I'm not convinced the Bills and J.P. Losman are a high-powered offense. The only offense or team for that matter with any merit to them that they've played is the Seahawks, and they were minus Shaun Alexander (which is a huge difference). They won't play a team worth a mention until the Giants in about a month, and even they're a shakey team.

Looking at Da Bears schedule, they should win homefield-advantage throughout the playoffs. If they don't, then they won't make it far, because their schedule looks like a breeze.

Well, yes, the Bears' schedule is fairly light, but life's been kind of hard on them since the last time they were in the playoffs, and teams with rough times get softer schedules, for the most part (though in contrast the Patriots schedule is almost inexcusably soft for a team that made it through Wild Card Weekend the previous year...who knows why). Which isn't to say that a 'soft' team can't still provide a challenge. Heck, ask Peyton Manning if he thinks the Titans are tough or not.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The Bears have been impressive so far, but they need to prove they can win in the playoffs. Their last 2 playoff appearances have resulted in quick exits.

If I was a coach, intelligence might matter here. I'm just a Ravens fan, I can blame whoever the fuck I want. I would like to point out though, that after averaging something around 5.5 and 4.5 yards per carry in 2003 and 2004, Jamal has sucked ass. When you have a quarterback like Steve McNair, who is decent, but not amazing, you need a strong running game. We no longer have one in Jamal and if you'd been following the Ravens for the past few years, that's always been the one thing we had going for us on offense.

I blame Kyle Boller for this loss. McNair's got no pressure to perform well with him behind him...If Boller were good, McNair would have stepped his game up to keep his starting job. Stupid Boller.

/rant

I kind of agree, but I want to think Jamal is (still) recovering from that really bad off season where he got busted. But both of his "replacements" have looked impressive when they were in there...No denying that.

Salary cap casualty in the making? I would think so...

Maybe Jamal is no longer the RB he was? A player can lose it overnight.

Jamal has had alot of problems since that 2000 yard year he put up. He was in trouble with the law (I believe with possession of cocaine and selling of it -- though he never did the stuff aparently). He's got a strong offensive line in front of him, so I think its more of a mix of him getting older and possibly having some mental instability.

Big win for the Panthers. All in all it was a great game. McNair going down for the Ravens certainly didn't help their cause, but when Boller came into the game, he kept them in it. Ironicly enough, it wasn't losing McNair that cost them the game, it was their defense that lost it by allowing a couple big plays down the stretch, mainly that big touchdown score by Steve Smith after they had just closed the gap to 2 points. The Panthers win, coupled by the Falcons loss, puts us second in the division. I was rooting for the Eagles to beat the Saints but that wasn't do be. We've got another tough game next week against the Bengals.

This man speaks the truth...As much as I'd love to, Kyle Boller can't be blamed for the loss and this game could have been much worse.

Just glad Tampa finally decided to pull one out against Cincy, so we only lost a game against Pittsburgh going into our bye week.

There going to some uptight people at work, with the Eagles losing. People were talking on Thursday how they were going to walk all over the Saints.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Sucks to be a Raiders fan this year. Now they're 0-5...and the only winless team in the NFL.

Way to go Denver! And no INTs this time for Plummer. About damn time.

I think it'll be a good game next week. The Eagles need a rebound after absolutely shooting themselves in the foot this week against the Saints. Costly mistakes and stupid plays blew a game we had won. Hopefully Stallworth and Hood will be back to play.

Hey, Buffalo didn't lose to Oakland.

And man, about time the Lions got a freaking win. Of course, once I sat through those 12 straight losses a few years back, none of the Lions' struggles are all that surprising anymore. And actually, in the pick 'em thing I do, I took the Lions this week as a huge risk, so I'm twice as happy they won.

Wow, well I said last week that the Bears were the best team in the league right now. This week I'm saying that the Raiders are obvioiusly the worst one. I don't even think the Lions were this bad when they had their losing streak. I haven't seen a team in awhile that just seems to be inept at every facet of the game... they can do no right! Al Davis must be rolling in his grave right now... oh wait, the old bastard is still alive.

Admist multiple power outages throughout the night, looks like DA BEARS are having some problems tonight. Aren't they and the Colts the only two undefeated teams left this year? From the looks of it, might be COlts left in that category.

The Cardinals' lead is dwindling. They're only up by six points now, with about four minutes remaining. Here's hoping the Cardinals can pull off this huge upset.

e: And now the Bears returned a punt for a touchdown. They're up one.

It's looking good. They're already set up for a short field goal, indoors, with Neil Rackers at kicker.

e: Unbelievable.
