So what's your BF2 username? Tokubetsu? I'd be interested in checking out your stats.

No. I usually play bf2 under "NATF-Hybrid." You can find my stats from bf2s here: http://bf2s.com/player/43977432/

Hey, it's currently 6:30pm EST and only Star's on to play in tonight's session. Is there anyone else going to be in? No word yet on when we'll start.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

At work as usual. I got it reinstalled, but having Windows 2000 again makes the game very iffy as far as whether or not it will run.

At all. I'll try to get on some time after 10CST. Perhaps on the TS that KT and I use?

I wasn't able to play tonight, a long story short I'm having computer problems. To make up though, I created a leaderboard of GFF'ers. I only included those I've seen fight at least once.

I'm number 5.... *sob!*

Okay, so I suck, but hell, the game is still fun!

Oh, and I just got off tonight's session, which, sadly, started a lot later than I thought it'd be. Although I did good in one round (rubs the nice shiny Infantry Combat Ribbon she just got), our side lost every time. I blame our crappiness for 1) the rest of the teammembers on our side, and 2) Taco and Kamui weren't around to even the score. Only Star, Toku and I played.

Taco, stop being lazy and fix your damn computer so we can get back on track! :D

Yeah, you know something's wrong when I'm at the top of our team for more than one round.

Anyways, looks like I might be getting Armored Fury sooner than I expected, since it seemed like roughly the half the servers on the list were it. Solis was right, these do divide the community. =/

Well, you have to keep in mind that AF just came out. It's to be expected that there'd be lots of servers running it. It should die down in a bit.

Being a fanatic, I'm willing to get anything BF2 related anyway. I love expansions too, so it's a no brainer that I'm gonna be getting AF. Taco's going to get it too, so we can have nice rounds together :3

Well it looks like the newest patch for the game forces Windows2000 to lag and several other sources have confirmed this.

They just don't want you to play it on Win2k. Oh, and my stats are better than that...I should have more hours:

I'd say that makes sense, since the box lists Windows XP as a minimum requirement.

was out with some friends getting drunk and playing cards. I guess I will try to tune in next Friday. If anyone is free before then, I'd be willing to hit up a game.

I got AF yesterday and spent my time taking screengrabs for a friend who doesn't have BF2 but is interested in playing it. Today, I actually played the game to get a feel of the maps and...stuff.

In my humble opinon, AF is better than EF in terms of the new vehicles (land based, as I can't fly worth a damn) and maps. AF has more varied terrain, which is a refreshing change of pace from the maps we've seen in BF2 and EF. You get a map set on a frickin' freeway, complete with truck stops and shopping malls, one set in a peaceful farmland (until the tanks come rolling in) with rows upon rows of wheat fields and farmhouses, and one set at night.

There's more background noises too, which sends an awesome sense of ambiance as you're playing. You can hear wolves howling in the night map (I love the sound of wolves howling), and a storm's about to break in Operation Harvest (the farmland). You can actually see a dark cloud cover in the sky, complete with thunder and lightning! I've seen lightning up close and it's a sight to see. I have no idea if they can damage vechicles and buildings though.

For all you armour whores, this booster pack is for you. I've even hopped into vehicles when I've never usually done so before. Of course, engineers, anti-tanks and support classes are always needed as well to keep your guys alive. One of the coolest vehicles is...the semi. Of course, you won't get any kills that way, but they're fun to drive in :D I never found anyone to run over whenever I was in one, though. Nuts.

I'd love to have some AF rounds with the gang here sometime. A good step up from EF. I want more maps on American soil, man, especially in those big cities. Who wouldn't want to take the chance of wrecking havoc on a freeway, ah-roooooo?

I definitely like the idea of a homeland battle line, and the new vehicles are pretty enticing...
But I shouldn't be spending money right now, cause I gotta be saving up to pay back loans. <=/

Hey, no biggie. I know several other people here are getting AF, but at a later date as well. While I like Great Wall and Operation Smokescreen from EF, the AF maps are more fun, in my opinion. I'll just cruise on my own for the time being and spend more time with the vehicles until more people get the pack.

P.S. I destroyed a chopper while in a tank. Is that normal, ah-rooooo?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It depends if he had seen you yet. =p

You can nail choppers with a tank if you lead your shots well enough, but it's almost impossible to hit one once they've seen you, because they can get above your firing angle quickly, and then swoop down to take you out.

[Edit]: Unless you're talking about the new mini-choppers, I hear those are pretty fragile. It probably wouldn't take much from even the tank's MG to bring one down.

I'm going to be around the house pretty much all afternoon, so I'll be on Xfire if anyone wants to start a match. Just gotta finish eating, and then I'll be good.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I didn't think it'd be possible to get a chopper in a tank due to the reasons you gave, so I was shocked when I actually got one. I'm sure he must have seen me, as he was directly in front of me, so I guess I got him 'cause he's a lousy pilot :D Not sure if it was one of the new choppers though.

Unfortunately, I'm done playing BF2 for today, since I've already spent time playing AF. Sorry, ah-roooooo :(

That depends. SF gives you 2 unlocks for each rank you reach, so that's good. It's got some cool maps (Warlord, Iron Gator), but the night maps, while a neat idea, fails in execution. The night goggles gives the area a highly polarized look. They're supposed to let you see better, but it truth it does a pretty poor job of it. If you don't wear the goggles, then everything's pitch black...

You get jet skis, pick up trucks, tear gas, zip lines and grappling hooks :D

The maps are more infantry based, so you like that sort of stuff, then the expansion is for you, ah-roooooo.

The British voices are crap, but funny. They say stuff like "Starlight!" and "Foxhounds to this location!" I very much doubt the British refer to medics as 'starlight.'

You can't choose what weapons to use. They're only available to certain sides, which can be a downer for some.
