Wow, nice HP for that level. You must really be working the Augment section. :P

My max hits on the Mist Knacks is at 19 right now. I still haven't seen the last two Concurrences though, White Out and Black Hole.

Yeah, I tried to get the +100 HP, +150 HP and +500 HP as soon as possible. The +150 HP and +500 HP squares are not too far from each other, too. Problem is that the +500 HP square is pretty pricey, I think it was something like 155 LP, which shouldn't be too much of a problem with Golden Amulets, though

Speaking of which, does the internet have screencaps of the whole license board yet? Not that I need it at this point, but holy damn would that be helpful when I decide to pick it up from the start again some time in the future.

I really would have liked the baord to be more like the sphere grid in that you could see exactly what you were getting into.

The swiftness +10% helps A LOT. If you get all three of them, it's almost like having an auto haste. So if you have all three swiftness (basically reduces your action time amount) and plus haste + berserk, your guys are going to go WILD. Haste + Berserk makes the bar goes 3 times faster, on top of the already 30% hastened speed of the swiftness augmentations.

Freelance Wolf: my guys are lacking in the damage department. They do about 150-200 to the skeletons, and surprising Fran can consistently hit over 200 damage with her killer bow. This isn't as nice as your 400 dmg, but I guess my added HP should help a bit.

With my current stats, you think it's possible for me to take down that Nidhogg hunt in Lhusu mines? I hear that one's much harder than the Cluckertrice hunt.

I have no clue. When I was still in the mines, I couldn't beat the crap out of the stupid Nidhogg. It kills my team in one blow. Boooo!! Now that I'm much stronger than than previously, however, I may be able to defeat it now, but I don't want to leave the tomb yet. I'll take a crack at it after getting past it.

I'll take your advice and look into getting all those licenses you mentioned. Whooo...

nidhog? is that the pet of the moogle.
I was almost able to beat it with a few good quickening combos but I got furstrated and quit. Before I wen't any further to archadia I finally dicided to go back to do a few hunts and owned nidhog with no problems. You should problably wait till ur in the late 20's to beat it.
I still got alot of hunts to finish up since I basicly skipped so many. I probably have like 10 waiting for me on the boards

About the hunts, if you don't do them right away, they don't disappear right? For example if I go to past a certain point (but not beating the game), will all the hunts still be available? I might want to do it that way, do all the hunts at one go before the final dungeon or something.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Heh, something like that happened to me. After I left Jahara, I was wandering around in Ozmone Plains, and found a 'secret' entrance, and accidentally found...
Spoiler:
Adrammalech

...Who handed my ass to me in seconds. XD

Also, I was wandering in one of the Sandsea areas, the northmost point on the map, where there's a bunch of those round tankers that you walk around... And I found this giant ball-of-fire enemy. 42,000-some odd HP. And with Sleepga+Silencega+Firaga in its aresenal... well, there goes my party.

Anyone know what that thing's for? A hunt that I missed or something?

It's called a fire-elemental or Spirit Salamand. Just an obstacle monster. He will disappear when weather changes.
Spoiler:
Also, We need not kill Salamand to get specific weapons, as opposed to Gnome and Lacey.

I hope hunts don't disappear after accepting the offer. I accepted the Nidhogg challenge and have yet to kill the bastard. Luckily there's a side tunnel in the mines that lets me bypass it completely whenever I need to go in there.

I checked some of the other hunts in the guide and damn, these monsters have outrageous HP, so I'm also thinking of maybe waiting until much later before tackling them all and saving me from getting my ass fried.

Oh, and props to the person who mentioned that having at least two ranged characters is a good idea. When I got to the tomb and fought

no the hunts will always be there as far as I know. As I said before, there were a few hunts that I couldn't do so left them alone for a VERY long time. I just got back to them and I found that the board is full of new hunts and i still got 2 more I need to finish in my clan preimer.

So most of my guys are handling themselves well. I think the real party I want to start using is Ashe, Basch, and Balthier - which would be my favorite three out of the six. They are leading at the highest levels so far, at level 21 and Ashe has about 1700 HP. I spent about 2 hours cleaning out the following area:

Spoiler:
The 1st Sandsea area with tons of Tuskan Raider wannabes. I'm seeing quite a few Star Wars parallels here. LOL is this really Tatooine.

Also, those elementals (bright shiny balls of GOD) scare the shit outta me. I always turn off gambits (which includes me using curative/green magick) when I'm around them to be safe. They FREAK out of you use a hint of any magick around them, and WTFBBQSAUCE your team in a matter of well, pretty darn quick.

I found the small elementals to be no problem. They're a little nasty with the magick attacks, but I can generally handle them. The one I was talking about earlier was the Salamand something-something, and it was NASTY huge. Even the Yensa desert guys were attacking it. I decided to help... Bad idea.

Well now for some reason my copy is fucked up.

I just defeated...
Spoiler:

...and as the scenes switch back and forth between the ship and your party leaving before seeing said spoiler on their knees, the game completely locks up. My second try had the same result so for my third attempt I tried skipping the scene altogether which as a result seems to have skipped an important FMV to Ondore's narration again but as soon as that's done the game locks up again.

I saw one of those Elemental Balls during my trip there, and that freaked the heck outta me too. I turned off all Cure gambits and beat the hell outta there :D

Balthier = Han
Fran = Chewbacca
Vaan = Luke
Basche = .... Obi-Wan? XD

Even at my level I still fear those elementals. First time I saw a huge fire ball just floating there I thought I could take it but you either need incredibly strong magic or a very high quickening combo. And when I mean high, I mean you better be prepared with that trigger finger.
I still hold the r2 button whenever I come near those, atleast they're slow.

Ah Jesus, I shouldn't have read your spoiler Simo ;__; Again that's my fault. I thought it was someone earlier.

God, now the ending boss and your spoiler are ruined for me. Stupid me having to accidentally look at the end boss notes in the walkthrough right before the sidequests, which was what I wanted to see.

Now I just put some paper fasteners to seal those pages up until the right time.

Thank GOD they are generally friendly and don't come after you if you don't piss them off. I like how the Dinosaur in Esterland is chopchop compared to these guys. I wonder if I can take on the dinosaur yet :gets eaten alive: or those werewolves in Giza plains.

Simo, I'd hate to say it but I hope it's just your copy. I did buy both the collectors and regular, but they are probably the exact same game besides the labels on them. Hopefully you can talk to EB? I should have gotten the $2 insurance that EB gives. DAMN!

Yeah, I tried a Mist Quickening combo on the Giant Fireball of Doom™, and that's when I got my 19-hit combo. And... Yeah, still not a good idea. It finished with the light-element Concurrence, and it still barely took only about 1/4 of the things health. I tried to run, but it was pretty pissed.

Greetings, gamingforce:

FFXII has been a very pleasant suprise thus far. Provides me with a nice challenge, especially after several other very easy RPG's that I've mopped right through.

I find that the party members rarely make a deal, and I've ended up using this combination. This is my normal type of party.

Vaan - Daggers, Shield, Light Armor. (Also black magic)

Basche- Hammers and Axes, Heavy Armor, Shield

Ashe - Staff or Rods (White Magic. A healer is necessary for every party)

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
