So it's a good game? I've seen it's low rated from many site.
I'm a fan of WA1-3, still haven't play 4 yet.
Is it have benefit from WA4 save data?

I haven't seen many low ratings. Mostly average, which is what the game is. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but it's a solidly executed RPG with little to really dislike.

It is a dead average RPG, and this coming from a die-hard Wild Arms junkie. However, for me at least, the hex system has a very strange lure to it and makes battles exciting. Can't say the same for others who apparently hate the hex system.

No perceivable benefits from Wild Arms 4 data so far. Just won't be able to recognize the WA4 cameos when you see them, that's all.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So I just beat this game tonight.

This game is a gigantic piece of shit and nobody should buy it. The biggest redeeming feature is the box art and amazing battle system. Really the battle system is fantastic and a wonderful step up from WA4 but as for the story god what the fuck happened there.

If anyone cares the art book is basically a ripped up version of this shit and this shit.

You lost all rights to your Avatar, because I, Ashton, who has the most excellent tastes in video games and video game culture, and have played every RPG in the past, present, and future, finds that Wild Arms V is as good as Persona 3

Returning to this game after Eternal Sonata, I've run into a bit of a problem. I've just gotten to the point where I need to get take care of the TF Towers, but the boss of the earth one continually kicks my ass. His instant death/5000 Damage (instant death regardless to my party) attack annoys the crap out of me, and since he uses Stone Bullet I can't put Avril on a wind hex to out damage his heals.

My party is around level 52, am I underleved for this point? I never ran from any fights and hadn't had any major trouble on a boss fight up until this point.

Nah, your levels are fine. A few tips (putting in spoiler tags in case other people don't want to see strategies, no plot spoilers here):

Spoiler:

If you have a reviver, getting killed isn't that big of a deal. Stick him/her on a leypoint for Ley MP Regen, and just revive/heal. Earth hex is probably best for that, since you can halve Stone Bullet from there. Your characters should get instant turns after reviving, so move them back out and attack. You can also still try to use the Wind LP for your attackers, though I suggest only putting one there so he can only kill one at a time. Stone Bullet shouldn't kill you on the Wind LP anyways. (Note: I'm assuming Sea Medium here. Otherwise this won't work too well.)

If you have any badges that resist earth, use them. Especially for your healer/Wind elemental attacker.

Give Dean the Sword Medium and spam Sonic Vision as much as possible. If you can get a Punching Glove, that helps even more. You should be able to synth one by this point (I actually was able to get a Sheriff Star before that fight). That should do 10k+ damage for 50 FP. Not bad. (Luck Medium works here as well, but the damage will be less.)

When he charges up for his big attack (the instant death+damage one), if you can, MOVE away from him. He can only use it on hexes adjacent to him, so if no one is there, he'll just guard and waste his turn. Having Jump/Isolate/Gather around helps here, but I didn't bother with those. If you have Holy Grails and can block the instant death, try using Invincible as well. It might help.

Also, I'll note that you're supposed to do that tower second, but it shouldn't make a big difference. I was probably around your level there anyways (thinking I was a level or two below honestly), so you should be able to do it.

Hope at least some of that helps. Good luck.

Spoiler:
I have a Punching Glove for Dean, and with his Finest Art he only does about 3500 a hit. I haven't missed any purchasable weapon upgrades and I've put all of the Dragon Fossils I've found in the Attack stat, so I don't know where all of my damage has gone. I've been doing really low damage on regular enemies for a long time in the game, too.

Edit: Ah, I've had him with the Luck Medium for the whole game mostly for stealing items. I'll try it with the Sword medium.

That's weird since Dean has the double critical skill and finest arts ignores defense. The norm for level 100 without any sort of combo chain influencing the damage is probably about 15k, but even all the way down in the 50s I think Dean was managing at least 8000 damage for me. You can try to manipulate the turn order so that Dean goes the last of your three characters (give the others speed skates or the like) to rack up some chain damage and maybe use Avril with a violator if you can go make one to possibly inflict some extra DP damage for extra turns (to lengthen the chains sometimes).

Otherwise you'll just have to go level up somewhere. If you can survive a single fight in the abyss you can level up very rapidly there (55~100 in under 2 hours) but I'm not sure if you want to do that before you beat the game or not. I know I waited to level up and do the super bosses until I had already seen the ending once... but eh, not everyone is like that.

Try giving him a Berserker's Badge and Cat's Paw to boost the damage some.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This. This is pretty much what i did for the entire game. Dean attacks, someone heals, and another has a mountain medium to lock out so they can't move. Never cluster up unless you know you can take the damage (for more force meter chargin) and Finest arts over and over. That's it.

Now that I'm 100, it's more Dean/Rebecca with both having a Sherrif Star/Cat's Paw/Berserker's Badge/Violator/any other badge i think is good, and anyone else healin.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I switched out his medium for a Sword Medium and that did the trick. Now Dean is doing some real damage as opposed to just relying on Avril's casting (She's a healer now) to do the majority of the damage. I beat the G Tower and the subsequent 1 on 1 fight without any trouble, and the 1 on 1 fight in the M Tower only took me two tries (The damn boss crit me when she had just a sliver of health left and I died ;_; )

I've run out of Duplicators, though, and I've found a TON of Duplicator chests. I've gotta find out where I haven't gotten any from yet.

Nobody else likes Chuck with his damage up skill and a 100% orange user to keep reviving him at 100 hp? He's actually about as strong as Dean that way; which is a feat cause Dean is typically in a class of his own. =P

I was speaking idiomatically.

I've actually taken a liking to using Chuck, he may replace Rebecca since even with all of her stats focused in attack he still outdamages her. Not to mention Chuck and Dean's combo move does a nice chunk of damage, too.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Rebecca (And Advil) are really, to a point, more for DP damage than outright damage. Sure chuck can do a ton, but Becky can make an enemy never, ever attack. I've had her empty a full clip with one command. the monster she was fighting didn't die, but it was pushed off the turn meter.

I guess I don't see the point, since a 100% Orange user is already basically invincible. Throw on a Terrace Tiara and you have a un-killable infinite reviver so Dean and Chuck can just go to town on the enemies. They really weren't thinking too hard when they made that badge.... cheapest badge ever. =P

Anyways, you can buy Duplicators in the Black Market later.

There's a reason it takes a Sheriff Star to synth. Things that hard to create are kind of supposed to smash the game to pieces. Though honestly, it's not that hard to get if you know what you're doing, but so it goes.
