I've got a rather simple idea for my badge, but I've felt like shit all day and haven't really wanted to do anything. XD

Anyway, you know the fist animation that appears when you use something like Focus Punch [I think?] or ThunderPunch? If anyone wants to badge-ify that for me, I'd be happy. Also, I like the shine/sparkle thing you've got on your badges, Icy.

Mm, I dunno about the Z. Plus, sleep moves aren't all limited to normals. Ghosts, bugs and psychics can have them too.

So, are we going with just the badges in addition to our regular av/sigs, or do you all feel like going all-out with it? I don't mind the latter unless I end up being the only guy doing it, and then I'd feel kind of dumb.

EDIT: A quick and crude example of one idea for gym sigs.

Finally, I'm done with my damn training and I could finally battle now. It took long enough.

I've been working my butt off since the last of my finals wrapped up yesterday, and I have about half of my team ready (excluding reserves, which I don't think I'll have time for). Some of you will be seeing me really soon! ...Others (notably the, uh, Flying and Rock leaders) will probably have to approach me first.

I have something lined up for an av/sig theme, too.

So I finally had my first match. Ironically against Icy who was my first opponent in the first Pokemon tournament here as well.

Like his Flying Type team in the first tournament, I got raped by Dragons this time. Mostly because half his flying team was there. ;_;

Chaotic vs. Icy:

Match 1: 6v6
So I managed to KO two of his Pokemon with Gangrel and (I believe and hopefully) and unexpected Ice Fang. From that point on, five of my Pokemon get raped, until I'm able to KO his Wyvern with a Crunch attack with Rocky. Then the climax hits and I'm left crying on the floor with half of my dignity gone.

Match 1 Winner: Icy 6-3

Match 2: 3v3
I just plain got raped. Nothing to see here.

Match 2 Winner: Icy 3-0

Match 3: 3v3
Slightly better, but prevented myself from getting swept twice in a row. Managed to kill one, but that was about it.

Match 3 Winner: Icy 3-1

Overal Results
Winner: Icy 3-0
Icy defeats 12 Pokemon, loses 4 Pokemon
Chaotic defeats 4 Pokemon, loses 12 Pokemon.

Alright, after driving 550 miles to Maine, spending a week with other GFFers under one roof, visiting relatives down the coastline, and driving 530 miles the other way, I'm finally home.

The good news is that my Pokemon team is ready for battle. The bad news is that I'm pretty well exhausted tonight and have to work at 9AM in the morning.

So once I'm settled in again, I'll give word and contact people about getting those fights finished.

Meanwhile, I see we're adopting "leader" av/sig themes? I think something with a twisted spoon, on a purplish background, would make a good Psychic Badge. If somebody wouldn't mind designing that, I'd be grateful.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

A very tight battle in just about every round.

Round One (6v6):
The fight pretty much went back and forth. We both exclaimed "I KNEW IT" at some point because of some anticipated Pokemon showing its face. When the sandstorm cleared, Josiah emerged victorious.

Josiah: 4 lost, 6 defeated
Kairyu: 6 lost, 4 defeated

A complete sweep for Josiah, I don't remember much else on it.

Round 3 (3v3):

The tide began to turn. Here Josiah came to realize just how much a pain in the rear Kairyu's "Enyo" can be. The deciding factor was probably when a super-effective move that very well might've killed Enyo decided to miss. Enyo then proceeded to bury what was left of Josiah's team before Josiah could take him down.

Winner: Kairyu
Josiah: 3 lost, 1 defeated
Kairyu: 1 lost, 3 defeated

Josiah managed to take one down and then against the second managed to land a lucky crit (for the second time, which first occurred last round against the same pokemon) on Kairyu's wall. Then Enyo came and buried Josiah again. Literally.

Kairyu: 2 lost, 3 defeated

FINAL ROUND (3v3):
Down to the wire. It ended with the last pokemon from both sides, but Josiah's second Pokemon managed to weaken Enyo enough for his third to finish the job.

The spoon looks great. Originally, I was leaning toward a more angular background but after looking at the others, there seems to be a lack of circular badges. Even the Poison one is more octagonal.

At first this might have looked like an easy win for Josiah, fighting weakness notwithstanding, but Sousuke proved he wouldn't get out of the woods (or should it be gym?) that easily.

Round 1 (6v6):
Josiah's first Pokemon was able to take a super-effective hit in exchange for a Nasty Plot. Sousuke's team then fell like dominoes.

Josiah: 0 lost, 6 defeated
Sousuke: 6 lost, 0 defeated

This time, the dominoes fell the other way. This was probably due to Sousuke's first Pokemon getting a Quick Claw proc every time but once, even when he didn't really need it. I've never seen that before. Unbelievable.

Sousuke wasn't as lucky this time. Josiah also switched out his first pokemon to avoid what would have been a super-effective finishing punch, and with his second managed to take down Sousuke's first two (getting in a flinching helped) before it fell. Josiah's third then came to take the win.

Sousuke: 3 lost, 1 defeated

After a little switching beforehand, Josiah's first outran Sousuke's first but Sousuke's barely survived and one-shot right back. Josiah's second finished him off, who in turn took out Sousuke's second. Then, it traded blows with Sousuke's last. Then, a Quick Claw proc from Sousuke with a sleep attack...that missed. Josiah managed to finish him off before he could get a chance at that again.

Josiah: 1 lost, 3 defeated
Sousuke: 3 lost, 1 defeated

Battle Report:

Round 1 (6v6):
Oh where to start. In short, this was a crazy epic match! If you somehow put bets on me losing this one you would've lost a crap load of money. For about two-thirds of this match it probably looked like I was getting my ass handed to me and I couldn't do ANYTHING about it.
We traded a few good hits but the damage done to my side was ugly. Battered and down to my last two, Black Mage thought a little tank trap was in order. Four or five turns later (I honestly lost count) Charon miraculously broke free with some good timing and a lot of beaming. Ice Beaming that is. He eventually took down Charon so all I had left was the feared Enyo. The rest of his three pokemon couldn't handle Enyo's furious attacks so I eventually had a landslide victory.


Round 2 (3v3):
After my close shave that I called a victory Black Mage started beating the tar out of my pokemon. I'll admit the match was getting close here but I ran out of steam a little too early by being weak to a multitude of attacks.
Here Black Mage barely survived with two pokemon.


Round 3 (3v3):
Why is THAT a flying type?!
I got the sweep. I tried to resist but there were just no openings for me. Damn my natural weakness to birds.
Black Mage won here with all three pokemon intact.


Round 4 (3v3):
It looked a lot like round 2 but more of a beat down. Nothing I had worked ;_;.
At least I took down one of his death machines.
Overall, good matches I hope this is the last of my losing streak!

Black Mage loses 8 Pokemon.
