Yeah... the grinder glitch was a huge break and SEGA probably got a tongue lashing for it. If there was a glitch on the PS2/PC servers, chances are that they would get resolved within the day atleast with SEGA controlling the servers.

It wasn't a game breaking glitch though and I think they had the fix already in AOI by the time it went widespread and that they just held off on the extra work.

People were able to solo any A-rank run, including the EX. It was bad enough.

Not sure of the details of the mech gun glitch. But the Grinder Glitch basicly involved people on the 360 servers duping S Grinders+10. It wasn't fixed as quickly as it should have been and some guy posted a video on youtube of how to do it. The result? A bunch more people did it and they banned everyone who did it as well as some of the people who bought the grinders.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Does anyone know why I can play PSU Online but not AOTI? Everytime I try to go online I get this error message right after login, when it says checking for game updates.

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I fixed it. Had to reinstall using the default folder name.

Wow I do agree that Sega should do better with their hacks, like try fixing the code itself, its true that hacking exists everywhere and it takes longer for a group of people to locate them in a game where there could be millions playing at the same time.

Though part of me also wants a different development team to take over Sonic Team, since they do screw up alot, and interviews in the US Sega shows that Sega US has little to no control over the actual localisation. In other words, the decision to make Sonic voice by 4kids bastards? It was Sega/Sonic team JAPAN. ST hasn't done anything decent recently that lets them deserve more projects, and Sega US needs more power.

But enough about the usual complaints, back to the game. It has been treating me well since I do play more casually, and the upcoming PA lvling adjusetments that Japan just got will be even better. Now I can actually level my spells, PA and Bullets without resorting to playing every spare time I can get. The upcoming MAXG and Dengeki events also look fun, so this game, despite all its hiccups, its stil fun for me.

Alright, guys. The news we've all been waiting for is here, courtesy of Shougai PSO and the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation. The site makes it a point to say that this info is still tentative, but we'll find out everything for sure tomorrow when Japan gets this update. Anyway, here goes.

At least now we know why some S ranks are so easy to get now, so we can gear up for THIS. Armors is still a problem for me though, I don't have an S rank armor for my melee girl, Stormline and Al Senbas are restricted to other classes.

From the looks of it,there HAS to be a acromaster. Single blade weapons are missing. Looks like no one gets the bow or grenade launcher though, unless there will be a protranser master.

Personally though, I don't get why Grenade Launchers are missing from Gunmaster. Twin handguns feels more like a Acromaster thing to me, since, you're still hold a gun in each hand, where as Grenades is ONE weapon that needs BOTH your hands, which to me screams "Only hardcore gunners can use lolz." Twin handguns, as we have seen from Dante in DMC, is a good weapon for the fast and acrobatic fighters, hence Acromaster.

The official site also warns that there are some missions that you cannot solo and get an S ranking, since TWO of these classes are missing ranged weapons. So soloers, stick to your old classes for soloing.

Remember that this is all tentative, and no doubt it will be rebalanced in the JP version, since they ARE the testing servers.

And to people wondering why I wasn't on PSU or PSO private servers latly, its cause I've download too much this month and can't play untill April 1st.

PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE

The Maximum Attack event from Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst is back and will be coming to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PC, and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system servers on April 25! In order to participate in this event, you must have the Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus expansion.

Data uncovered on the mystery planet Rykros is encrypted within a battle simulation of unknown origin. The GUARDIANS have been tasked to enter the virtual world contained in this ancient artifact to combat swarms of creatures and unlock the data. The forest, caves, and mine stages from PSO are back, and you might just run into some familiar heroes.

We will be keeping track of the total number of creatures each GUARDIAN helps defeat, and limited prizes can be acquired through luck, speed, or perseverance. Everyone will have to work together to reach the 100 million creature goal, and other rewards for all participating players will be unlocked throughout the event.

* Rifle bullets will receive higher elemental percentages, attack power and accuracy. (This of course does not apply to non-elemental bullets.) Also, rifle PAs at LV31+ will receive the knockdown effect.
* The cost of shooting a rifle without a PA linked will be reduced.
* The elemental percentage of low level laser cannon bullets will be increased.
* The PP cost of Gifoie, Gibarta, Gizonde, Gidiga, Nosdiga, Noszonde and Nosmegid will be reduced.

Well the event mission gets boring after 20+ runs, but its got great EXP and MP, plus gold badges for PSO weapons and other goodies. Still, 1 UP missions were the most fun event mission wise.

Dengeki should be alot more fun when we get it though. Despite that, I say use the free 3 weeks and have some fun.

I really hate double posting to bump a topic, but this is beyond retarded service.

GMs have reported that due to Sega JP's major fuck up with the billing issues, causing many people to get a 065 error and not able to login during a goddamn event, they said that MAXG will be extended for 2 extra weeks and a fresh leaderboard will be made for the 065 club to battle for 500 extra more Spread Needles.

That all sounds good till today's annoucement.

PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE

The extension has been "postponed" AKA "cancelled" cause Sonic Team Japan doesn't know how to program shit and hasn't even fully resolved the billing programming.

My RL friends and I are gonna take a break from PSU, and party on PSO private servers instead. We spend so long grinding and helping one of us get a spread needle, that we are sick of this shit. I had badges left and couldn't trade them in cause I had errands to do, and there was SUPPOSE to be an extension.

You will only see me on to maybe help a few PSU friends, but I will not be doing heavy runs or lvling. I mean we still haven't gotten the PA update and I am in no mood to lvl spells at the original slow lvling pace.

While I was lucky to be not affected by 065, that still doesn't mean I wasn't mad that others and my friends had these issues during all this, and this just broke the camel's back. Only reason I am not cancelling the entire account is cause I still wanna play with my friends that I have met on PSU. But if comes down to everyone I know going, so will I. I can still just ask for their MSN or something.

Sounds like I was right to leave when I did. Max Attack G was boring after a couple runs. Even without that and the rest of the game feeling stale to me. All my real life friends are gone from the game and I'd rather be playing Age of Conan anyhow.

Apparently Sega Japan has gotten rid of players from the leaderboards that have been using the machine gun hack. Tidus, who was due for a gold medal he didn't deserve, was kicked off, and the 2nd place winner got gold. Peter Griffin ends up on 500th place.

Naturally this cause much Lolz epic drama on the pso world forums. Its good to know that cheaters will not be getting the spread needle despite all the humor going on right now.

In case anyone here still gives a shit, MAG is coming back for 3 weeks for the poor saps who had 065 errors during the first one.

God if there was some way for me to port my characters to the JP servers, I would do so in a flash. The last 2 monthes had no activity whatsoever that I hardly logged on. It's irritating to learn that Sega American are virtually nothing but a bunch of messenger boys, cause any problems or updates, or just about everything that its dealt with in the game engine and programming is all handled by Sega Japan, AKA "we don't give two shits about the US customers or Sonic games" company. And all this time I thought it was Sega US being lazy bastards, when its really Sega Japan being xenophobic douchebags.

I hope now that we FINALLY get MAG 2.0 rolling again, that we can see more updates soon, but I am not counting on it.

I'm still mad over the fact that I actually believed Phantasy Star Universe was going to be awesome, and that Sega would give it proper support. Valkyria Chronicles is about the only game from Sega that I give a damn about anymore.
