Zero got it right. It came from the first episode. Definately my types of animes =]. "Cassier" gave it away so I wasn't prepared.

Characters and theme kinda reminds me of Jin-Roh The Wolf Brigade though it's been a long time. I remember it being a good movie.

Yep, it's from The Third. But it's not the growing wings scene, it's actually when they are first introduced in episode one as the are about to attack Ikus. Never did finish watching this show though. I should get to it.

I will guess Aria because of the cat with blue eyes and the water on the side there. Could be wrong since I've only just recently started watching Aria and am far from finishing it.
