Unfortunately, I couldn't find any SPC's for you offhand. Does the game itself have a sound test option?

I'd like to add Airforce Delta Strike (PS2) to this list. Konami's entry into the genre defined by Ace Combat isn't that bad a game, and has a bonus material many tributes to its old-school shooters both in terms of secret planes - yes, you can fly A-Jax' Jerry Mouse! - and their associated theme music.

I would like Fur Fighters: Viggo's revenge to be ripped. I really need the alternative opening (leave the press start screen running) and New Quack City music and I've been googling it to death. If anyone can rip this for me or knows where to find it please let me know at my email address- josh_haggarty@hotmail.co.uk

Nope, no sound test. In fact, not even options menu, only 'press start' which starts the game.
I also tried saving a SPC file from the music playing in the first stage, wouldn't work, only one note playing when I tried to listen to it.

So, yeah it is indeed tough.
Good luck to anyone ripping it!

Sticks on the first note, huh? That either means the game requires a little hacking to make SPCs work past the first note, or else it is completely undumpable (wierd or shoddy programming as is the case for many US games - looking at you, Interplay). I have no way to check on this myself, but I can ask over on SNESMusic.org.

As an absolute last resort, you could always run something like Goldwave in the background and record WAVs from your own soundcard. Hardly the same as recording directly from the actual game, but it's better than nothing.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

lol. I'm still waiting for Adventures of Tom swayers on the Nes, which I thought would have been easy, and the (n)ever popular Drakengard 'events' that take place betwen each chapter, which are moderatly hard.

But anyway, has anybody listened to the music used in Pro Evo 3, 4 and 5 for the PS2? It is really quite good! Can anyone rip this music for me?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hmm question guys... has anyone here ripped Super Puzzle Fighter IIX? Actually The I have ripped about 42 nice tracks from the CD, but I'm missing the "Character Select" remixed theme. It's strangely not available in any of the .XA channel (there are 5 channel, with 8 tracks in each). Interstingly, the cd could be put in cd player and you could listen to Sakura's vocal track.

I wonder If I should record the missing track with PSX emulation since my PSX has been broken. What do you say? Using emulation to rip is certainly a bad idea. But I dont have any other option.

I was speaking idiomatically.
You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

Summoner and Summoner 2

I placed a request for this in the audio request until I noticed it you could request here. Anyway, there are official mp3s of these two games on the official Summoner and Summoner 2 websites, but they are not complete and they only have a selection of all the mp3s from the games:aargh:!!!!! Please help me.

DC

Floigan Bros.: Episode 1

As for the current list, here's what I could provide:

well... the easiest way is to record the game music through a recording line-in and using some kind of recorder software like goldwave. I think most rippers done the rip that way.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

My decision's made - I'll rip Mickey's Speedway USA (N64) for Darkcomet72.

I'll need a bit of research since I've never played it but in due time I'll get it done.

I vote for "Weird programming"

Nintendo Power stated that Lord of the Rings and Clayfighters used some funky fresh sound drivers (ARDI or something). They stream music off the cart, rather than loading a sequence into the audio RAM.

Hmm, was it possible to stream audio into snes cartidge? I think it would make the size of the rom very tremendous...

Well, I think it was more like streaming samples into SPC700 chip (SNES sound chip).
It had 64kb of memory, so streaming samples to it could get around that limitation as the whole music wasn't held in that SPC memory.
Hope you get the idea, I am not too good in explaining things, especially not in english.

Edit: For a good example of sample streaming, try Tales of Phantasia, the intro song has vocals in it, however those vocals arent't in the SPC file, they are streamed to the SPC memory as the tune plays.

If you can get it done by June 4, I'll completely change my Nomination list for the BSC2006 :lolsign:

But seriously, I believe the game doesn't have a sound test.

Thanks a whole bunch!

It doesn't? I thought it did - the GameFAQs writeup says the game has some sort of Jukebox, so I assumed it was a sound test.

I'm glad I can turn off SFX and vocals completely though, makes it easier.

Oh wow... you're right. I just checked. I never bothered to beat Frantic Finale in Mirror Mode. I guess it would be worth it so you don't get the engine sounds in the music.

Jukebox is most likely the sound test. In DKR, the Jukebox was the sound test.

Wow. That's the one I was planning on doing next, myself. You can go ahead and do it if you like, I've only done a preliminary analysis.

I see questions about the jukebox and such as well posted, I'll tell you what I found:

The jukebox is a cheat, I don't know what unlocks it, all I know is that I have it under the cheat menu.
Once you toggle the jukebox cheat on, it is not apparent how to access it; to do so, you go to the volume settings, and an interface for the jukebox will be there.
One big problem: All the tracks are unlabeled. They are titled "Track 1" and so on. I think there were 43 tracks in all.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hahaha, this was your next rip? o_0

Thanks for the jukebox tip, I'll try it out later. Maybe I don't need to play through the game after all... but maybe I should anyway just in case I don't miss any tracks. >_>
