...no rotating the map...
Haha, I actually found myself pressing the L and R buttons all the time to try and get a better view of the field. Only to be greatly disappointed every time .

Aside from that negative the only other one is the sheer rarity of getting into a random battle (not quest battles.) So far it has only happened to me twice *crap.* I've been getting random recruitments way more often. Mostly Nu Mou characters. Not that I mind~ I prefer mage job classes. Well, until I run into the classic No-Nu-Mou-Action-Abilities law.

I'm still really enjoying the game despite all the negatives. Luso isn't a wuss like Marche, and that's enough to satisfy me.
Since when was Marche a wuss? Marche was a dick, trying to take away the cripple's fantasy land where he could walk. Back into your wheelchair, bitch.

That said, I'm about 18 hours into MARCHE YOU DICK 2 and I love it. 0 complaints. The "No X Race Action" Law is a new one but that's easily avoided by having a little you know, variety in your damn party.

Adelle ain't even half bad either. The real stars of the game are Viera though. Not even gonna lie.

Bangaa come in close for the Dragoon/Gladiator/Defender classes.

SUPER EDIT: I hope that at some point down the road I don't kick my own ass for not doing Veteran during General Training I. I went for Professional and actually ended up clearing it in under the 3 round requirement for Veteran but couldn't be assed to go back and redo it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Because of my staunch support for them way back in the beginning, the developers have rewarded me with not only playable Seeqs, but playable Seeqs who break any balance in gameplay A2 may have had. Fuck yeah, big pigs.

From what I've seen, I want one or five. At least that way I can finally make an entire team composed of Ninja and Pirates. I'm pretty sure it can't be any more broken than that :U.

2) If you don't know which races are which, it takes a very simple and quick flip through the booklet to the game. For newcomers, I believe this is why laws regarding races aren't used until you're well on your way through the game.
Aside from it being a what, level 8 quest that I had it on.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

What difficulty did you guys choose, normal or hard? I hate when a game makes you choose that at the beginning, and then you can't change it without starting a new game.

I'm a bit over 6 hours in, and I'm completely addicted. Rods and knives are indeed hard to come by; my poor black mage can finally learn something other than his base 3 spells. I could seriously sit there all day mixing combinations in the bazaar.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I picked normal mode since I read the only difference was something about enemies doing 1.5x damage.

My black mage is still stuck with the three base spells, but I did finally get a rod with a second white spell. I've actually got more summoner stuff than mage stuff.

Dunno about a guide, but I do know that the Clan Bowen quests are officially the most lulziest/epic thing ever.

Minor Klesta related stuff.:
I love how it goes from Bowen chasing after huge bird Kletsa from the intro mission to "I HAVE TO GET REVENGE FOR MY WIFE THIS MONSTER KILLED" and finally "SAVE OUR LEADER HE'S LOST OUR MIND." So cliche, but so funny at the same time. In your face, you fucking giant chicken.

omg i hate the second stage of the camoa cup. the laws are fucked, i can't use MP but the enemy can bypass the laws with no consequences. it's a stupid way to try to make the game more difficult. i prefer the law system from tactics advance, this one is just plain stupid and i imagine it'll get even more retarded as i progress through the game.

how do you get more characters? i've completed about 15 quests already and none have joined my party.

Hello everyone, I'm new here.
I finished the game about to days ago...not anywhere near done with the quest though. I must commence square for making a final boss that requires your units to be in the 50s. Seriously I'm a vet for tactics games and I won with the main character left with 123/400+ health left....all my other units had died via giga dust(130 damage on all units, he does it often...to often). Anyone beat all those kings yet? I beat them all by the time I was level 35. After beating the game there is a mission that has you fight all of them at the same time..but there level 99 T_T. If anyone beats it tell me what you get for it lol...I'm hoping that the reward is something better then sequencer or tourneqol (mispelled). Even though those items pawn...
Also..ITs extremely hard to come by loot for the items required to learn last level spells for your blackmage. My black mage knows all the "Daras" and only has thundaga and thats after completing the game.
EDIT: I'm so angry right now =.=. Efing monster broke my master monks judicer coat and I failed the speed battle...NEXT time I'll be sure to obliterate the other team before going after the monster.. >_<

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Its one thing to miss some story background for not playing a previous game. Its another to assume that someone has played it and has obtained information from it that's necessary in this one. However, I've never played through a game that has required me to read the manual first. *shrug*

I was at around 20 quests when I got it. Check the pub for a level 1 quest regarding recruitment. They'll come together.

Your point is so invalid it hurts. The entire point of a sequel is to be a continuation of the first; therefore you're going to have elements in it from the game before it that don't require explaining. That's like picking up Metroid Prime 3 without playing any other Metroid game and then complaining about why the game didn't tell you you have to scan everything and who is this Ridley guy and how do I kill it, what the fuck is a Metroid, etc..

It's much akin to how all the stateside Fire Emblems after 7 start off with the assumption that the player has a basic knowledge of the series itself. Sure there are optional tutorials for those who happen to be new, but this kind of thing is standard fare for SRPGs.

That being said, again; why are you playing the sequel without having played the first. Also, it never hurts to RTFM. That's why that acronym exists. The fucking manual, read it.

Psh...manuals....Who needs them?

It's not like they give you info on how to do things within the game or such....

Plus as far as things go, that's one of the primary reasons it's called a sequal, as in, it expects for you to know info from the first one more or less.

Basically I'm piggybacking on the statement, because it's true.

How ya doing, buddy?

You've never played one that's required you to because they usually have in-game tutorials that everyone fucking hates anyway. You're always asked to look over the manual in anticipation of questions you may have or may arise (ie, the point of the instruction manual), so, really, there's no validating that particular complaint.

The in-game tutorial basically says "move" then "act" and that's about it. The only other things it actually explains are the Bazaar and the Auctions.

Exactly my point. They get rid of in-game tutorials and still someone complains. I'll take the option of looking at the manual over mandatory in-game tutorials any day.

Level 25 now, just beat the Red King. Sequencer is a mean knightsword, and the description seems to indicate there's even more to it.

I'm an idiot for taking on the Red King at lv.18 .
Ended up using both of my eureka crystals and barely survived the red king's attacks every turn. Constant back attacks with White Monks and Hunter's Sonic Booms made it all possible. At least I got enough gil to pretty much buy whatever I want.
I'm not even going to take on the lv.55 king until I'm in the more advanced job classes. And I STILL lack the ninja, master monk and the scholar job classes.

Anyway, I'm currently at level 30~32. Learning all sorts of Arcane and Summoning magic type stuff. Physical fighters are currently a mixture of fusiliers, moogle knights, paladins, defenders, monks and fighters.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I didn't bother looking at the Red King quest's level until after I'd already accepted it, and tried it at level 10. That was a fairly one-sided fight. Surprisingly I managed to dish out about 100 damage first, but only thanks to Air Render's godly might and her accuracy apparently being terrible.
