I don't mind Dee that much, it's just that her character has been pointless except as a love interest.
Maybe for this season, but I remember her having much more to do with the inner-workings of the Galactica before the whole New Caprica event.

That being said, I'm not enjoying any of the characters' new directions after they left NC. Granted, the episodes on the planet and the rescue by the two Battlestars was an awesome set of episodes, but after that arc was finished the season's been on a down-slide.

I wish more was being done between Baltar, Gaeta and Six. There's so much potential for the angle of "bastard ex-president/traitor back with the fleet" but they're not using it.
They'll probably just save it until the end of the season to try to sustain a cliffhanger over the break.

As for Woman King, I liked it. It was just one of those "what's going on in the fleet" episodes that is great filler. And we finally got to see more of what Helo's been going through after Sharon came back from the Cylon fleet.
I just don't understand why there isn't more suspicion over Sharon being the same one or not. I mean, how do they know? Sure, the viewers saw her, but the human fleet ought to be a little more concerned. One of the Sharon models did shoot Adama after all.

Additional Post:

A little bit of BSG news:
Sci Fi channel greenlit Season 4; ordered 13 episodes.

Depressingly enough, it won't return until Jan. 2008.

But the news of a new Cylon by the end of this season sounds promising. Any theories, guys?

Sounds a bit too difficult to make a guess who the Cylon could be. There's been speculation it might be Gaeta or Dee (Has she had her blood tested? As a Saggitarrian do they allow that? - Yes I spelled Saggi wrongly - I think). Definitely couldn't be Adama or Saul as they were in the first Cylon war. Can't be the president or the vice (Tom). Starbuck I'm not too sure, MAYBE YES MAYBE. *shrugs* should get interesting.

I was speaking idiomatically.

That's the glory of this show though, they keep you guessing until the very end. On top of that, they make you believe one thing [in this case--they're probably trying to string us along to think that it's going to be Starbuck], and then they'll throw you for a loop right at the last minute. Probably on the season finale. XD

So yeah, they'll probably show us that the Cylon is like... Helo. And he had a baby with Sharon. TWO CYLONS HAD A BABY DUN DUN DUN.

How ya doing, buddy?

So what did everyone think of last night's episode? All I can say is finally we have a good episode, with no trace of stupid love triangles or (Lee) Adama angst. The plot didn't feel as contrived as some of the other recent shows.
Spoiler:
The showdown between Adama and the Chief was possibly the best scene of this season. Seeing human society slowly being pushed further and further from their democratic base is fascinating, and being shown how far Adama is willing to go to maintain order is chilling.

Also, not sure why someone went and created another thread when we already had one.

They're trying to outdo the :nazfail:, which is impossible. Why do I do this to myself? ;_;

But yeah, good episode. So with no more love triangles, hopefully they can kill off Dee... and Lee...

And yes, that showdown scene was epic. I actually didn't expect it to work out like it did in the end. Good stuff.

Yes, that was somewhat confusing. Adama threatens to shoot people, then the Union forms anyway. What would have happened if Adama had followed through on his threat and executed some of the strikers, meanwhile the President wants to talk?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I like Dee. ;_;

We need Fat-Suit Apollo back. He was cool this season back when he had his glorious gut. I'd like to see Starbuck killed off, but sadly they've already foreshadowed that she's some kind of prophet.

There was an article from TVguide.com I read a few weeks ago saying that one major character would be killed off before the end of the season, and rumor has it that Starbuck will be revealed as a Cylon. I have my doubts, but I'd like to see the end of her one way or the other.

On a different note, what about that accent of Baltar's? I love the way they dubbed it in, so it sounded like he was channeling Satan.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Imho this was perfectly played-out. If the Chief had stuck to his guns that would have pegged him as an unreasonable man that Adama would have been unable to deal with. Yet, Adama wanted to test his mettle at the same time. Adama and the President seem to be on the same wavelength lately...

Yeah, too bad she's probably not dead. They made such a fuss about her hallucination and implying that she serves some sort of greater purpose, she's probably ascended to a higher plane or something. Since Leondre (or whatever his name was) wasn't really Leondre, maybe he's a higher being. MAYBE HE's FROM 1980!!

I love to see a sci-fi show deal with real-life issues more deeply than the supposed "dramas" of the day can muster. The way they dealt with the whole abuse issue was very interesting...

I can only hope that Starbuck will be cooler and less whiny as a Cylon and/or demi-god.

Like naz said, this episode seemed a little too random. With any luck the grief Lee will suffer over talking her into flying again drives him to gorge himself on Twinkies until he once again become Fat-Suit Apollo.

A grief mustache from Admiral Adama is much more likely.

I'm confused by the end of tonight's episode. Is Lempkin supposed to be Baltar's son or his father? The note would seem to indicate that he's Baltar's son, but the two of them look the same age.

Also, kudos to the Adamastache reference.

Lampkin was nothing more than a Gaius zealot from what I gathered.

The note at the end was referring to Lee driving further away from his father and becoming Gaius' ally in the legal proceedings.

So I guess Apollo's marriage is a Dee-saster at this point. (har har)

What was up with Lee resigning his commission? He and his dad had an argument, sure, but I find it hard to believe that there was enough anger to give up his military career over. There would have to be a pattern of disagreement, and other than the past couple of episodes, Lee and the Admiral have gotten along swimmingly. Maybe it's supposed to relate back to Starbuck's death, but it's really not a believable plot twist.

Guess he's just Mr. Fat Suit Apollo now.

I can't say I'm particularly happy with the way BSG has gone this season. I was originally dubious about a "remake" without any input from Richard Hatch but by the middle of the First season I was hooked and Season 2 was even better. This year however, I'm loosing faith. I don't think that enough has actually "happened" this year in comparison to previous seasons, there's been too much filler episodes that make it look like a space-bound soap-opera as opposed to military sci-fi. I'm glad they're returning with only 13 episodes in '08, maybe the writing will be tighter.

Yeah the 3rd season so far has been sort of a downhill ride. They've gone too far into character depth and internal fleet politics.

Big yawn.

As a fan of character development and politics I've loved it. To me, this season has had some of the best episodes throughtout the entire run of the show. Season 3's first half was definitely better than Season 2's as well.

Some of the "non-event" episodes were good, but I kept wanting something to actually happen for too long. There's been about 10 "filler" episodes this season, that won't pull the ratings needed unfortunatly.
