The 4400 and Heroes are pretty different though. The entire point of The 4400 is that people from the future captured people and sent them back with new abilities in order to change the course of history.
In Heroes only Hiro can control space/time and not always very well (yet). I think they'll put a limit on his power later on as well, since it's not only extremely powerful but also appeared to hurt him at first when his eyes went bloodshot making that desk clock move. He seems to have had no problem since then, but time manipulation and long-range teleportation need limitations to prevent him from becoming omnipotent. About Claire:

And speaking of the 4400, I just borrowed the first season and watched the frist few eps tonight. It's a pretty cool show. The thing that's been bugging me the most about Heroes is that the setup for the whole deal is taking a long time. I understand what it takes to set up a major plotline, but at the same time, there could be small bits of resolution in each episode to give some sort of closure. Hiro's story has been good thus far. He's realizing his role in the story, and same with Issac. Also, you can kinda guess what's going on with some of the other characters, but Ali Larter's character is confusing as hell. They spend way too much time on her yet they haven't really given us anything aside from the fact that her kid's a dork and she's in a heap of trouble as a result of shit with her husband/former boyfriend. Also, any predictions as to what her power is? It seems like the time that she freaked out from looking in the mirror, she got all crazy like the hulk. Spoiler:
The show really picked up last episode. Lots of stuff happening, more abilities being revealed to people, oh, and EVIL... Jam it back in, in the dark. |

But yeah, this last episode was pretty great as well. Out of all the heroes in this episode, I think I liked Greg Grunberg's character's (sorry, his name escapes me at the moment) story the most. It was interesting to watch him not only use his powers in a professional aspect (in his job as a cop), but in a personal aspect in the scene with his wife. I also can't wait to see what happens in regards to that final scene in the bar, where he couldn't read that one guy's mind (was it because he wasn't thinking about anything, or was it because he had some kind of power that could block it?), and then he passed out. Okay. I'd wondered about that, but they never actually stated as much, nor did they show anything suggesting that the guy had any powers.

yup
Was this guy working with Mohinder's dad possibly? Or from a separate group of people who found out about Suresh's unique code/symbol? Also, what I think will happen to Hiro.. Spoiler:

hmm... something just came up from my mind. The comic about Hiro, isnt it from the future? The comic was written by Isaac. Doesnt it make some weird non-future-telling-thing?

Bout the comic being non-future like:

Just recently got into watching this show. It's got somewhat of a quality like that in Smallville, but to a more realisticly-logical sense. For example: No strange glowy lights beaming out of some guy's index finger. (At least not yet so far, hopefully.)

I'd say Heroes has the feeling of "LOST" than any other show. Building mysteries upon mysteries and keep viewers wanting more when the show is over. (Although LOST has a more intertwined story with characters' pasts and relations to each other) Let's hope Heroes only gets better each episode they do. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Since everyone is mentioning Smallville, I'll mention that two producers from there (Jeph Loeb and Greg Beeman) are actually working on Heroes (well, those are the only two names I noticed anyway). I wonder how much influence they have on this show, since they have experience with the superhero thing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Wow...
