Taz is/was my favourite ECW wrestler of all time. I was even a fan of him from early 2000 to mid 2000 in the WWE when he won matches against Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit and won both the Hardcore title and ECW title in the same week in April. Of course, this was before his injury in which after he returned, he turned into a jobber for the rest of his WWE wrestling career (although he did win a match against Eddie Guerrero at one point). I'm not against Samoa Joe for being a "rip-off" of Taz. It only goes to show that Taz had influence. Still, I enjoyed Samoa Joe's run in ROH and although the whole "undefeated streak" is getting old now, I still look forward to seeing his match against Angle.

Wow, that last TNA show was really good...Really action-packed and with lots of cool segments (the "Target" one was great, I thought...Definitely a Russo idea come back from the dead). I'm seriously looking forward to this show more I did even a couple months ago. They actually have several match-ups I want to see even more than the whole WWE roster can put together (Joe vs Angle...again. Ironman! And I'm a big fan of both Styles and Daniels, so seeing those two in a lengthy feud would be great. And I've always been a Sting fan and he can give anyone a great match).

Piper can barely walk, so no surprise he's injured. At least he got to wear some more gold before he retired.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The whole thing with Styles and Daniels is that they've already been in a fued multiple times and its getting really old now...

In a scary situation, Piper was found to have Cancer. Thankfully, he should recover.

I agree. I enjoy the Styles/Daniels match-ups, but I am also growing tired of seeing them feud over and over again. Granted, the roles reversed might freshen things up, but only so much...

to quote Jim ross "Rowdy Roddy Piper's tougher than a 2 dollar steak" so he'll pull through this. Personally I've gotta say that based on Survivor series last sunday, I must give big ups to CM punk, he's certainly impressed me

Have you seen CM Punk in the indies such as ROH? He was awesome in ROH too. The couple of times I've seen him on Heat when he was starting off in the WWE, he was pretty impressive technically against Val Venis.

I remember hearing about his "5 star" matches with Samoa Joe and that got me interested in him. He hasn't disappointed me. The staight-edge bit is a great wrestling gimmick...Sort of like the whole Stone Cold thing...It's something people can identify with.

Then again, Eugene is something people can identify with too, but he isn't exactly the perfect implementation of it.

LOL @ Flair last night...The chemistry between Orton and Edge was priceless, though the main event was a rip. For some reason, I'm psyched about Hardys vs MnM.

Seems WWE actually stepped it up a tad, now that TNA has...Or am I just imagining things? I felt little inclination to flip Packers-Seahawks on last night.

Oh man, CM Punk cut some of the best promos in ROH. He had excellent matches against Samoa Joe and they had series of bouts. That's not all though. He had some great matches against Colt Cabana, Jimmy Rave, Austin Aries (who CM Punk defeated for the ROH title), and Christopher Daniels too.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Wow, I don't usually get to watch the beginning of ECW on Tuesday nights, but...

Spoiler:
that first match between Rob Van Dam and Sabu was pretty good. Pretty nice that RVD picked up the win...I can't tell if that attempt at a top rope hurricanrana by Sabu was screwed up on purpose or not. Same goes for the flip over RVD and trying to power-bomb him off the apron.

How ya doing, buddy?

Spoiler:
Looks like it will be Taker VS Batista, World Title VS Streak. Batista is the one favored to win. Not exactly what I call a good way to end Taker's career...he should keep the streak, and gain the strap for a fifth, and final time.

Spoiler:
Yeah, that would suck if Taker had to give up his streak. But, remember how it was with Undertaker and Randy Orton? A lot of people thought Orton would win, but he didn't. I think Taker might, with a very slim chance, retain his streak. At the same time, I don't see Batista losing his strap. Interference possibly? That would also suck. For the first time in a long time, this bout seems unpredictable.

the big rumor now is that the undertaker will continue his WM streak, seeing as how it's in his contract to do so, and that his next big match at WM will be one that apparently has been a year in the making. here it is:

Wrestlemania 23: The Undertaker vs the (at that time) Undefeated Umaga

On Tuesday, TNAwrestling.com received a call from the Voodoo Kin Mafia, who wanted to let the wrestling world know that they are publicly accepting the open challenge to face Matt and Jeff Hardy this Sunday night.

Although the open challenge was answered on their Monday night program by another tag team, BG and Kip would like to also accept the challenge to make it a three-way match.

According to BG, they will agree to compete in the bout under one condition – that the competition must cease and desist all “Dumb to the Xtreme” television skits effective immediately - and this must be verified by a signed and notarized legal document.

In turn, The Voodoo Kin Mafia will agree not to air their footage this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV.

“You know Vince – a funny thing happened on Monday afternoon on your website when we were watching your little online press conference,” BG James said. “When the Hardys made the open challenge, I couldn’t help but hear the fans chanting ‘VKM’. Some other tag team may have accepted it, but it’s still an open challenge and the Voodoo Kin Mafia want in the match – so let’s make it a three-way. You have until this Thursday night before ‘iMPACT!’ goes on the air to give us an answer.”

The Voodoo Kin Mafia await a response from the WWE regarding the acceptance of the open challenge….
And for those of you who don't know, the VKM = James Gang = New Age Outlaws

Yeah...I kinda figured that Lashley would win...can't believe I saw that coming.
On another note, it would be pretty cool if Chris Masters got the belt tonight. That would be pretty unexpected, wouldn't it? Because the way I see it right now, the Masterlock is somehow going to be broken tonight.

Paul Haymen is now gone from ECW, and the future of the company is in question...

From PW Insider:

THE WHOLE STORY ON PAUL HEYMAN LEAVING WWE
by Dave Scherer @ 5:41:00 PM on 12/4/2006

As Mike reported a few minutes ago, Paul Heyman is gone from WWE. From talking to a number of people in company, the impression I received was that Vince McMahon was irate about how awful the PPV was last night and wanted to pin the blame on Heyman for it. Anyone who knows anything about Heyman's booking, as I have for years now, have a pretty good idea that the show was much more McMahon than Heyman. But according to people I spoke with, Heyman got pinned with the blame for it with the theory being that "he is caught in the past and doesn't understand the new vision of ECW". You know, the vision that ends PPVs a half hour early and makes the fans boo what WWE creative books for them.

The problems started yesterday at the ECW PPV when everyone realized that the show really stunk. Heyman was said to be unhappy with the way that the show was booked (big shock right) and sources backstage told me that he voiced that concern both before the show and after it. People at TV told me today that it was obvious that there were issues between Vince McMahon and Heyman because of the how the show played out on pay TV, with everyone knowing it was a disaster. Problems carried over from last night and led to the incidents that happened today.

A number of sources told me that there was a meeting today around two o'clock with Heyman, Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque at the building. Heyman came out the meeting and seemed like his normal self, with no one I talked to having any idea that something bad had happened. Shortly thereafter, Heyman gathered his things and left the building to go home.

The word going around from everyone I talked to is that this is not a storyline in any way and he is legitimately done with the company.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
