So today's update (lol everyone forgot today with being busy with Brawl):

DoReMi Fantasy: Milon’s DokiDoki Adventure (Super Nintendo) (No Wikipedia Entry =\) was released along with Puyp Puyo 2: Tsuu.

I've never heard of both of them, so I have no idea if they're any good or not! Anyway, there ya go.

How ya doing, buddy?

DoReMi Fantasy really isn't bad . . . I just wish they'd go through the trouble of, y'know, LOCALIZING . . . even if that means applying a fanpatch. Yeah, it's fanslated . . . So click here if you wanna give it an English try after you've bought the download version Wink Wink.

How ya doing, buddy?

Damn. Super R-Type is the truth.
I'm a writer for myself and others. To be honest, Super R-Type is a ball buster with it's fucked up lack of checkpoints, but it's still freaking awesome.

Was Super R-Type the one with all of that "hard rock music" that they kept bragging about in the instruction book?

There were several titles if I recall that boasted some fine rock music:

DONPACHI, Thunder Force, M.U.S.H.A., Guilty Gear (Not a shooter but also famous for its rock music). I'm not quite sure though, any vertical / side-scrolling shooter experts care to answer this better?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

American VC games for March 24th.

Square returns to the VC tomorrow with King's Knight (NES, 500 points).

Namco's Powerball (Genesis, 800 points) will also be available.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Nintendo Power Poll - What Games Do You Want To See? / Wii Virtual Console News

American magazine Nintendo Power is running a poll to determine which retro titles Virtual Console players would most like to see on the service. Once the results are in the magazine will publish the Top 100 most requested titles.

Here's the request as it appears in the magazine:

Quote:
What classic games do you want to see come to Virtual Console? Send us up to five picks (only for systems currently represented on Virtual Console) at vcpoll@futureus.com. We'll print results in an upcoming issue. Note: This is for polling purposes only, and will in no way determine future Virtual Console releases.
We're sure this will result in some quite outlandish suggestions but it should make for interesting reading regardless; you can bet that someone from Nintendo will read it and hopefully it will represent a good indication of where fans want the service to go next - who knows, maybe the company will sit up and take notice?

Whatever the eventual outcome, here's your chance to make your voice heard.

To submit your recommendations, email five games you would like to see on the Virtual console and email them to: vcpoll@futureus.com
The true DO WANT list:

1. Secret of Mana
2. Terranigma
3. Blast Corps
4. Goldeneye 007
5. Earthbound

The more realistic list:

1. Earthbound
2. Terranigma
3. Super Mario RPG
4. Uniracers
5. Turtles in Time

The list I ended up sending

1. Secret of Mana
2. Terranigma
3. Earthbound
4. Super Mario RPG
5. Turtles in Time

That's actually a good list. I would probably replace Turtles in Time with Shining Force 2 though. I wish Nintendo of America would put Terranigma up on the American Virtual Console. I want some sort of legit copy of the game to play on my TV. Plus this game deserves some sort of release here.

Actually according to the VC, its Square-Enix. Yes, in the 1980s.

Don't remember this being asked before, but has there been any word on the VC possibly having Saturn games down the road?

Not with the Wii's current 1.44 MB of internal storage! Besides, they'd probably roll out Mega CD first. Then go out of their way to not release any of its five or so worthwhile games.

"Guys look, Double Switch! Haha, it is a game about watching videos and there are some switches"
"Well that's not very interesting at all Sega"
"... DOUBLE SWITCH, TWICE THE MEGA POWER, 2000 POINTS"

How ya doing, buddy?

That sucks. I would give a left nut to play Dragonforce. Then I would give the other one to play Panzer Dragoon Saga. Who needs kids when you have awesome Saturn classics?

Although it would load faster in the RAM, the problem is that some of those games are as big as the Wii's total storage. Using your same theory, why not recommend Dreamcast games? We're really lucky to see N64 games considering the storage limits. Then again, less systems means more of a chance of gems on those particular ones. If we only had the NES, Acer could have a better chance of being pleased.

Would you go along with the idea if they were to add a USB external HDD?
