I second your WTF. He was my favorite character from Season 2.
![]() Also, I'll take a guess that Juliet's little videomessage was part of Ben's master plan. We saw that he knows how to con with Sawyer's pacemaker, so it should be no surprise. I like how he consideres Jack's prescense in the island as an act of God, though. Who's to say if it was coincidence or not. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
I'm just so ridiculously happy that we finally saw the monster attack. The best part is that it didn't look cheesy at all. In fact, it was really well done.
The entire episode was executed perfectly, and I'm glad that Eko went out in a dramatic fashion. It's too bad, though, since Eko was a great character and complemented with the rest of the cast very well. Eko's flashbacks were usually pretty solid too. Yeah, we still have absolutely no direction for Season 3 (outside of saving Jack, Sawyer, and Kate), but considering that the episode focused on retracing the shows steps, which were left over from previous seasons, that it didn't really need to. I just loved the little things in this episode such as the woman telling Eko that he owes his brother a church, and Locke (finally) explaining what he saw when he first encountered the monster. I don't think the monster is the cause of all the hallucinations (such as Locke's or Walt appearing in front of Shannon), but it's hard to say since we don't know what the monster is exactly doing and why it is doing it. Didn't the map from the blast door say that the "cerberus" system was malfunctioning? Does Desmond have any idea of what the monster may be from Calvin? One of the interesting things I realized during tonight's episode is how the bodies of Jack's father and now Eko's brother are missing. I wonder why that is. I'm still willing to give the new characters a chance, but they are starting to just get in the way. Looking forward to next week, but it'll let me down because I know there is going to be a huge cliff hanger that will bug everyone until it starts up again next year. FELIPE NO

Wow, that episode was freaking stupid. They killed off one of the best characters on the show for no real reason, those two new people are so freaking annoying and no one can actually take them seriously, and once again The Others do nothing but say and do confusing things. This season hasn't been the best so far, so hopefully we can just ignore these six episode and hope for good episodes when the majority of them air next year.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
I was DEVASTATED when Eko died. Literally devastated. He was my favorite character on the show and they fucking offed him for no good reason at all. And to top it off, they killed him in a retarded way. The smoke monster grabbing him and fucking him up? Please. That was absolute bullshit. I really want to hear the explanation for THAT.
Other than that, the episode was brilliant. The bit with Juliette and the TV was so incredibly well done. I think what will happen next episode is that Jack will save Ben, and then Juliette will kill Ben right then and there. Should be a good finale despite the horrific disappointment with Eko's death ![]() How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
But I don't think he'll do it. It's his nature to save people, being a doctor and all that. He didn't resist too much when they asked him to save that female Other, which says a lot about him. Most amazing jew boots |
![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD. |
I bet in reality, Eko's actor foresaw that the show was getting gay so he requested his character to be killed.
I really fucken thought that Eko's visions were divine and that he would have the right path to follow. But now, WTF. So all those dreams, apparitions.. are all part of that stupid monster? Is this island really about coincidence and no faith at all? I just wished Eko would have made his peace with God, Yemi, etc before he went if he had to go. But no, they made him die while being attacked viciously. And the stupid party they formed... "Ooh! I'm a new extra the writers just slapped into this season. I have titties in a tight shirt! I'll join you guys!... Along with my boyfriend.." Let's not forget this scene.. New girl: "I know! the TVs are links to other stations! I'm smart!" Locke: "Duhh... Why didn't i think of that? My character must be purposely written as stupid so a new one can take all the credit" EDIT: Yeah, this pretty much explains why he was killed http://www.cinemablend.com/celebrity...ourt-1137.html and this http://www.tv.com/lost/show/24313/st..._list;title;11 I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Eyepatch man had me staring at the screen and going "HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK".
Also, it's pretty obvious now that Spoiler:
and further, it's even more obvious that Spoiler:
This episode paid the fuck off. Good to see you back, smokey. Only gripes I had were Nikki and Paulo (as always), and Nikki magically figuring out shit Locke is apparently incapable of. GARGHJSDJIF. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Spoiler:
However, I liked the latest episode. Sure, they are fucking with our minds, but at least we know that it's going to be pretty intreresting. Spoiler:

Eko was too much like Locke. The two characters worked when they were fighting over the hatch, but now that the hatch is gone and they are both on the same side again, it was redundant to have the both of them.
Also, the Locke vs. Jack issue hasn't been played yet at all this season because they are separated. This gives a very different feel to the season. Instead of being philosophical and large, it's more immediate and small. This was bound to happen as details about the monster, the Others, the hatches, etc. was revealed though I guess. What Ben said as justification for the existence of god... could just have easily been a plot all along that the Others had planned, since they seem to know everything about each passenger... I wonder if Desmond's hatch partner from before the plane crash was actually one of the "Others," since Ben seemed to know all about the button in Locke's hatch. And yeah, who the heck are these new characters? They just seem like cannon fodder, as every main character in the past has been introduced through flashbacks... Most amazing jew boots

Oh, and why did Ben mention Juliet looking like Sarah? That weirded me out. What's the significance?
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Seriously, dude. Think. Ben wants Jack to trust Juliet. If Juliet resembles his EX WIFE, a woman he LOVED and was obviously ATTRACTED TO, he would have an easy time confiding in Juliet. Ben went out of his way to toy with Jack's head with his confidant. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Just how many of the tail section survivors are still alive actually? Bernard, ..? He's next. And Cindy is gone until she reappears.
My highlight for this week's episode definitely was the eye-patch man. He looked scary, yet better than the E.T. everybody was seeing in the preview trailer. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |

Looks like PA lost its faith (hur hur) with Lost.
Snip: How the hell did i miss that? Personally, I like the fact that they aren't spelling out what'll happen in the show. Keeping things open like this mean that just about any scenario can occur, but you'll never be able to figure out which one. Looks like they borrowed the concept from 24 and Prison Break. I just hope they don't pick a randomly stupid path (Jack Bauer's wife having amnesia? Racist Hillbillies stealing the super important disk? A bobcat? Come on). Off topic, but I'm very much looking forward to Daybreak. I love the Groundhog Day concept, and I think a whole show (or at least season) devoted to that idea is very interesting. My TV Guide voted it as best new show of the fall, so I'll be keeping watch. I was speaking idiomatically.

The only reason Groundhog Day was an awesome movie was because it had Bill fucking Murray and it was funny. As in COMEDY. This shit with Taye Diggs looks like absolute crap. I won't be watching. The same day relived every day, having to prevent the death of your girlfriend? What a headache. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Cant believe they killed off Eko, and such a gruesome. Eko had the best flash backs! I hope he does return in some form, even if it is the monster thing.
The guy with an eye patch, I swear the promo made it look like some alien! ![]() ![]() What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I'd be pissed if the monster was actually the Oceanic survivors on the Island. And the others are the actual survivors. WTF. (Not making any sense) Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Want obscure Classical Music CDs? Search: http://www.lib.uwo.ca/ PM me the code, I'll rip it for ya [MAX 2 CDS/User] |
I'm not so confident in this idea. I'm hoping that the writers are finally cluing into how the show's almost gotten too big for it's own shoes, and they're now starting to actually go somewhere finite. I think the Others are planning a rebelion against Ben, or maybe just Juliet wants him gone, and she's conning jack into believing that everyone wants him dead. Also, remember when we saw Ben asking Juliet why she showed Jack his X-rays. I'm thinking that Ben has just resigned himself to trying to reason with Jack, no tricks, but Juliet's getting the upper hand on him. I'm also willing to bet that the guy in the camera was a member of Roussau's science team. Maybe he'll finally give us some answers as to the numbers, or even just to Roussau herself. I also think it's time she made another apperance.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I liked how Eko refused to beg for forgiveness. Finally, the reverse of the cliché. Still sucks that he died, but he died "doing his best".
Show's getting pretty bad otherwise, though. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Okay, I'm going back a little bit here, but I didn't really see it mentioned.
What's with Desmond? [And Eko?] Ever since the hatch blew away, they've been having these visions and whatnot. And Locke... I don't think anything happened to him in that sense, did it? Forgive me if this HAS been posted already, I didn't see it. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

I don't know about Eko being the best character. Locke has style and is so cool. Loses the plot a bit which i'm pissed about.
