I usually say "hell" or "damn". Only when I get really pissed off or hurt is when I use other swear words.

EDIT: And when I'm quoting someone from a movie or videogame.

Well, I swear but not very often. Though the filth really starts pouring out of my mouth if I end up crashing into a difficulty spike in a game or a bad injury (shins, Jesus).

Not to mention that the kids at school convinced me that endless cursing makes you look like an idiot.

I very rarely say swears, but I think them all the time. When I think, I don't think out every word like when one speaks, and I'm sure most of you are the same. However, when I swear in my head, the words are spoken very clearly. ^_^;; Like, when I stub my toe, I'll say "Owie!" or something kinda babyish, but in my mind, I'll think, or rather say out loud in my head, "Owshitfuckdamn" about twice or ten times, depending on the pain or mood I'm in.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I have recently started picking up swearing, though not in large amounts, more like a subtle shift. I've grown up in circles where it is very looked down upon to say anything like "hell, damn, shit, ass, christ" and especially "fuck". For me, I've picked up hell, ass, and shit because the alternatives just lack so much these days (aka: what the heck/that kicks butt/Crap!). I need more meaning and weight behind my words and the explitives are just the remedy. So, I've adopted these few and held off on the others.

It feels good to join the mass of cussing fools :P.

I don't see profanity as a crutch though. A crutch implies disability. Think of it as a language enhancer.

I discovered an amazing talent of mine. I am so calm and tame at my internship but when I'm outside with friends, I am like a fucking pirate.

How ya doing, buddy?

No, I mean like "Argh, get the fuck out before I grab your nuts with my hook arm!" kinda pirate.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I occasionally swear. It's normally me getting angry or pissed off at something. Which now that I come to think of it, isn't actually all that often.

I do use racial slurs all the time when with friends. I use them jokingly though, no racism involved. Like I'll tell me friend to stop being a honkey and get me a soda. I know a lot of people are real sensitive with that stuff, but oh well, I'm not.

But as far as words like fuck and shit go, I use them but not every 2 seconds like some people.

Often. It's funny, online I don't tend to swear very much because I have time to think about what I say, and I also tend to think that people who swear a lot sound dumber than people who don't. Mum was pretty strict on me as a kid too, but she eventually just stopped saying anything about it and I became this profane jackass that has to tone down his behavior for most social situations.

Having dwelled in a British boarding school since the age of eight, I can comfortably say that four-letter words are fundamental building blocks of the English language.

If the situation is fitting and calls for a "fuck" or a "shit," I have no problem saying it. It's fairly rare though. Maybe twice to three times a week. Online though, it's a pretty different story. It can range from zero to countless within a day. Not sure why that is...

I swear when I get anoyed and above but rarely when I'm talking normally. Of course these days I tend to keep shut unless something bugs me so I tend to seem more of a profane guy than I really am.

Well, I swear sometimes. I try not to when I'm around certain people it offends, and I usually only do it when I'm angry, but I have been known to let out a couple of casual damns, shits, and fucks every once in a while!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I have started to use profane language more often lately. Mainly because of the fact that I've been a dealer at a casino for the past year. It isn't the best place for keeping the language clean from day to day. A game of craps or high limit baccarat throws any chance of a not hearing it out of the window.

I never really sweared much. A damn here, crap there, and hell would be my limit. But if I feel very angry about something, fuck doesn't seem so harsh to me.

I personally don't swear very often. When I was a kid I was frightened to death to actually swear, because even if the slightest cuss word came out of my mouth if my family was around I got severly punished.

I guess the swearing got a little worse in grade 12 and when I was in college. I swear from time to time. Only if I need to put out some unwanted aggression. I usually swear mainly in times of stress or disgust. I usually take out all my swearing when it comes to insane video game bosses, and troublesome levels.

I swear very casually around friends (and maybe sometimes with my parents who really don't care as long as I don't swear in front of my grandfolks). I'm pretty good about not swearing when appropriate (like work or in front of kids).

Jam it back in, in the dark.
