30-second song sample of "Metal Header" + details:

http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=6267

I've been listening to it non-stop since finding out about it. It's got that good old Gitaroo Man feel.

The game is essentially a port with some added stuff. Added stuff being two new songs (woo!), which means two new levels & enemies. There's also a Jukebox mode in which you can listen to the game's songs, as well as some new multiplayer features. I'm not sure what those are, though.

Now I'm in a Gitaroo Man mood, so I'm listening to the original's soundtrack. Truly one of the best ever.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Check out my original music at my Soundcloud page!

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

I wonder how the two new levels work into the game. The Jukebox seems to place them after Resurrection and hints at some sort of co-op play.

I'm not sure I feel like buying Gitaroo Man a third time plus the expensive price for a PSP which has like only a few other titles I'm interested in.

Because the original game was on PS2.

I only recently started playing Gitaroo Man...great game, but the characters seem to really annoy my roommates. Although I guess I have to admit that hearing "Can I eat it?" after failing the first stage for the 20th time on Master Play is just a little irritating.

Ironically, I couldn't stand "Flyin' to Your Heart" the first time I played the game, but it grew on me after failing so much on Master Play (which, BTW, is the only TRUE way to experience the game ). So yeah, now I'm on Bee Jam Blues. The attack and charge segments aren't so hard (knowing the song definitely helps), but the dodge parts are brutal. Good thing it's one of my favorite songs. The others are "Born to Be Bone" and of course "Tainted Lovers." Actually, there really aren't any songs I don't like, except "Nuff Respect," and that's just because of the annoying synth.

I was speaking idiomatically.

"Castitatis" (Elfen Lied - Lilium ~opening version~)

Damn, I was pretty psyched for this game, but if it's just a simple port with a couple of new songs, I don't think I'll bother purchasing a PSP for it. I also don't think the gameplay will benefit from being on a PSP.

That's kinda what I'm feeling right now too. (PSPs are expensive, after all!)

But I'm hanging onto the glimmer of hope that "Gitaroo Man Live" will really mean "Gitaroo Man Live."

I mean, can you fuckin' imagine it? Playing with people all over the world? Or even creating your own songs and "challenging" people (O GOD)????

>_< It's probably not going to happen, but I can hope, damnit! If it does happen though, I'm going to definetly buy the PSP.

Going through the Japanese site, there's a song called Metal Head
playing that sounds like it could be a new song added to the mix.
Just some speculation~~ http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/psp/gitaroo/

Anyone planning on importing it?
The site says June 8th though play-asia has it at May 25th.

So it's just a remake with two levels? Damn.

This STILL isn't a good enough reason to buy a PSP. I know I'm being hard on the PSP but really, the majority of the games needs to be worth the price of the handheld itself. 10bux says they butcher the US box art.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
