Yeah, and there's also some Unsung War discussion in here as far as I can see it, so the generalizing "Ace Combat Thread" description works just fine, I guess.

"Unsung War" doesn't sound that spectacular either :j

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, I remember putting that up along with an X-02 Wyvern model.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Obvious tie-ins with Bartlett. There were so many referrences to it in 5, pretty hard to miss.

Besides, she's the reason behind the whole "Heartbreak One" name, so it'd be nice to get a little more backstory on it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

That doesn't mean she had anything to do with the war with Belka.

Well, the Belkan one was "one who engulfed the world" and apparently there was enough Yuktobanian involvement in it to drive the Belkans to target not just their massive neighbor Osea, but them as well with the SOLG.

Bartlett and Pops are a given, since they met in the war 15 years ago. I don't remember how they met, but didn't one or the other say that they shot each other down?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

The end to the Belkan war was brought upon by the Yukes and Oseans joining forces, which caused the Belkans to nuke their own homeland to stop the Allies overwhelming advance. This is why I belive you can't count the Major involvement out.

Not sure about the quote though, you'd have to go back through the cinematics in 5 to get that one.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Pops says at one time that "He used to have a ladyfriend over in Yuktobania". So one can only assume that they met (in Yuktobania?) during the war. So if the game will feature Bartlett she might be in it as well.

I believe Pops said he shot Bartlett down and that he then helped Pops defect. Though this doesn't exactly make sense since Pops must have been a bomber pilot during the war.

Well, I wasn't making a case for the Major not being in it, since she was (aside from Nikanor) the biggest character to come out of Yuktobania in AC5. We'll just have to find out how she was involved in the Yukes finally siding with Osea to beat Belka.

Well, the MiG-29 is capable of carrying and firing nuclear warheads, so it doesn't need to be a bomber. And as you've seen in shots the ole Fulcrum is shown quite a bit.

Oh yes, that's how it was.

You could be right. I was thinking that that big-black-flying-doomsday-device looking thing would be what was used for the nuclear bombings at girst. But on second thought it's more likely that it is something you actually get to take on.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Sorry, should have clarified that I was backing your point of view in regards to Stealths question. I agree with you whole-heartedly man.

Also much love for the MiG-29.

Bartlett is the only reason why Pops is even alive. He's the one who snuck him out of Belkan territory, and hid him within the Sand Island installment.

Ace Combat Zero is not complete without Bartlett shouting YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO during one of the final missions.

That flight stick combo looks like a lot like the Saitek X45 series for the PC but in Matte Black instead of Blue. Should kick ass if you can use it on a PS2 I was wondering if they would ever make them since AC4 and 5 graphics looked so much better than the PC flight combat games.

Edit: I bought the Fox flightstick made by Trustmaster for AC4. I did not like it, the rudder control sucked and was not adjustable. Thats why I wished I could have plugged in my Saitek X45.

Does anyone know if the narrator in the trailer is one of your wingmen, or a journalist akin to Genette.

He's a journalist who works for OBC.

What'll be interesting to see during the course of the game is the sentiments expressed by Belkan pilots and military personnel with regards to the Galm squadron and Ustio. IMO, I wouldn't be surprised if they consider their attack on said republic to be nothing more than taking back a leased apartment or something.

Just so you guys don't think I'm crazy, Ustio came into being after economic problems reached a breaking point in Belka.

I like how it comes with decals.

Mine will read Mobius 1. Please don't pose.
Yeah, and 12800 yen is roughly $110 USD. They need to stop overpricing the fuck out of these accessories.

Eh, looks like my friend just told me the release date for this is May 30th. According to Gamespot, though.

Overpricing is right, this is the Saitek X45 it looks like it was based off of. Basically the same minus a switch or two. http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/x45.htm The price of the X45 is generaly about 75.00 US.

Since I'm probably the only person here who played the very first Ace Combat game (Air Combat), I guess I should mention that the statistics web-chart thing is taken from the first game.

That aside, I really like the orange GUI.

You fail at assumptions Jay ='(

I played Air Combat but, I corrected myself and mentioned that #2 had a bar for specs. The first one was average, though.

I forgot to ask - what's with the sudden explosion of AC Zero avatars and sigs? Did I miss some kind of Ace Combat week event?

Requesting Osea/Yuktobonia/Belkan flags for Gamingforce.
