I've prepared a single ZIP package of 27-30 for download from my website:
Yotsubato!27-30.zip (30,3 MB) Note that this file will be up for about a week at best, so be sure to grab stuff while you can. Thanks Face for the initial hosting. Hope you don't mind me hosting as well. Spreading Yotsuba awesomeness. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
For those who want the Yotsubato Image album, I've uploaded a FLAC version to my webspace. Grab it here:

Updated first post with hosted chapters and image album~ Now no one has any excuse not to find them. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Oh, the part with the Mob movie and the wattergun, oh, that's classic!
And Donmai, XD And...hell...everthing is clasic with this! BTB, is Azuma trying to forshadow something with Yotsuba's "Enemy" talking or is he doing it to be cute? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? All I'm saying is that if the laptops of the future are not in the
shape of chibi genie girls then I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

I liked the first chapter of volume five, with the robot, and the chapter with Yanda really was one of the best so far. I really lol'd at the part with the cellphone and the unko, evil Yotsuba rules!
I was reading the Japanese volume and while it takes some time to understand, it's easy enough for me to actually be able to read it without having to look up every damn word (unlike Patlabor.) Now I'll probably just skip ADV and get the JP volumes from YesAsia instead (if they can ever get volume 2 in .) Oh well, on to chapter 31! FELIPE NO |

I'm completely smitten with the Tsukutsuku-boushi chapter. While the Flower Cupid remains my absolute favorite, chapter 27 is such a winner. Not only is it completely adorable, but it's filled with absolute GOLD moments like Yotsuba making the earth slightly safer with the AC remote and the trouble it eventually causes dad, the whole "I'm a tsukutsuku-boushi!" stuff and the reactions it brings out in everyone, Jumbo's return from Hawaii, Asagi's impersonation of the cicada and Yotsuba hastily trying to reveal her exciting discovery to her dad near the end. Such a perfect description of children's impatience and frustration at adults not listening XD Jam it back in, in the dark.

nice new stuff as always
I didn't like chapter 30 with Yotsuba & Yanda. The mooch sort of forced his way in and Yotsuba REALLY hated him: "Go away and never come back!" There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Mega Awesome <3. Ice cream, LOL! This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. - What we all do best - |
Why is Yotsuba so cute?! I never thought I would say that.
My favorite so far has to be the one where Yotsuba meets Yanda. POO! This reminds me, I should get Azumanga. It's the same artist right? How ya doing, buddy? Dance party! |
Yes it is. I'd say the style (and structure) is slightly different, but in general you can say if you enjoy Yotsuba, you'd love Azumanga as well. It's a must read especially if you liked the anime, as the two complement each other very well, both exhibiting gags and puns not in the other.
I do wish ADV would have realized to put translation notes into the first two volumes, though. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Yay! Yotsuba is pretty infectious. I like how a lot of us changed from our ordinary av/sigs to include Yotsuba in them (always a good thing ) Looks like there's a mini-chain going on here.
How ya doing, buddy? |

Join us, OP. You know it'll make you much, much happier.
It's become a bit of a tradition for me to listen to Dawn from the Yotsuba image album in the morning when getting up. A perfect morning theme. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Speaking of which, I should give that image album a try. It just might be a better match up of reading Y and listening to Azu D OST at the same time, ya know. It just might.
Jam it back in, in the dark. - What we all do best - |
Thanks for all the great links, my life has significantly improved ever since I read my first Yotsubato! chapter. =D
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yeah this is one of the few things that make me happy with myself XD
Most amazing jew boots |
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Yotsuba is simply too cute. I have no choice but to abandon my headphones and create a new Yotsuba combo.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
I couldn't help myself. Yotsuba playing on the Wiimote to make summer end is too precious. And then dad loses week's worth of work again and the Asagi household TV changes channels mysteriously ='D What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
the guy who's translating Yotsubato for America is the webmaster of the best Ring site ever, www.theringworld.com
I picked up the first volume and noticed. he did a nice job, or so says I. How ya doing, buddy? |
I know I'm late getting into this and all, but I must say that Yotsubato! is amazing.
The humor is great, and Yotsuba (as stated before) is just too cute. Thanks for the links - and now I'm tempted to get a Yotsuba-related ava/sig. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
>=) Another one to join the ranks!
I am patiently awaiting for the next few chapters Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hmm. I've been wondering. Is it ever alluded what Yotsuba's actual nationality is? I was intrigued when I read Ena's line: "She looks a bit weird. Is she a foreigner? Or maybe..." and especially her dad's line about finding her in "another country", wherever that is.
Ok, so: For a Japanese person to not be sure about her race, there's a fairly good chance she's ... (a) half-Japanese and half-anything else but black (b) Chinese (c) Korean Because let's face it -- either you're not going to question her Japanese origin at all, or you're going to know she's not Japanese. These are the only possible exceptions. Ena thought Yotsuba looked a little strange, strange enough to make her ask, "Is she a foreigner?" You don't say about somebody who you know is a foreigner, "Are they a foreigner?". You just don't. You only ask if somebody's foreign if they're deceptively looking and sounding a lot like your people, but there's something ... just a little off ... Thoughts? Not that it truly matters, because she's still super-cute regardless, but it is something I've wondered about. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I wondered that too. I also wondered if there was the possibility she comes from Hawaii (I vaguely recall talk of them coming from an island, or maybe I'm imagining that).
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
